Located less than 100 meters from the water and in the central heart of Friesland, this place can be called ideal. In the summer for water sports enthusiasts as well as in the winter months for all Friesland enthusiasts. Therefore also the ideal base to discover Friesland.

De Thuiskamer is a cozy and attractive home, equipped with all modern conveniences and luxury and of course free Wi-Fi. The ground floor has a large dining table, where you can all sit together for breakfast, dinner, games and much more. The wood stove provides extra warmth in the colder months and you can relax here with a book from the library. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped, such as dishwasher, microwave, oven, steamer, Nespresso, kettle , washing machine and much more.
On the first floor are the two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and TV. Both bedrooms are attractively furnished and equipped with all modern comforts.
The cozy courtyard garden with fresh mint, grapes and apples is a wonderful place to enjoy together with or without the BBQ.

Free parking is less than a 2-minute walk from De Thuiskamer

If you book a week you will receive a 10% discount on your entire stay.

For the enthusiast there is also a wood stove, wonderful during the cold winter months with a glass of wine and a nice book. The first wood box is from the house, if you wish more, you can do so at € 7.50 per extra box.

De Thuiskamer has 2 private parking spaces on the Volmaweg - Kerkstraat, only a 1-minute walk from De Thuiskamer. You can unload and unload your luggage in front of the door of De Thuiskamer and you will receive the access key for the parking spaces.

For those who want to discover and experience the beautiful surroundings of Grou, the cycling route De 8 van Grou offers plenty of options. The 8 of Grou is a unique cycling route; one moment you are cycling through the varied wetland landscape of the De Alde Feanen National Park and the next you pass a picturesque village. Then, enjoying the peace and space, continue cycling through vast flower-filled meadows. The special thing about this cycling route is that on the way you regularly come to a waterway, where volunteers are ready to take you to the other side with the ferry. Sailing with the ferry gives an extra dimension to your bike ride. An experience not to be missed! The 8 van Grou now has 12 ferries and is also called the “ferry route”.
