Grutte Fiif Safari lodge with air conditioning

The Grutte Fiif Safarilodge (or 'Big Five' Safarilodge in Frisian) is a cool and attractive glamping tent for max. 4 people (35m2 and 15m2 covered porch). With silent (cold or hot) air conditioning, 2 bedrooms (double bed and bunk beds), a bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and Rituals products. Furthermore, a complete kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso. The lodge has a normal front door with lock.

The park

The park has a reception, playground, swimming jetty, laundry, recycling center and restaurant Oan't Wetter. There are also excellent fishing spots on the promenade jetty!

The Safarilodge is centrally located in Friesland, near Grou and many other nice Frisian villages and towns. So there is always something fun to do, rain or shine!

Parking is free in the car park in front of the exit of the park. 

Facilities

The safari lodge is spacious so also wonderful during a rainy day. Inside you will find a TV with NLZiet programs, children's toys and there is secure private, free Wifi (max. 21Gb per day). There is also a kitchen, dishwasher, coffee maker and thermos flask (handy on a cycling day), Nespresso, microwave, kettle and large fridge with freezer compartment.

As the only safari tent in Grou, you will not only find a lounge set and dining table on our covered veranda (with mood lighting in the evening), but also an extra outdoor kitchen. And there is also a sheltered spacious backyard with Weber bbq, seating, dining set and sandbox.

Our unique outdoor kitchen has a gas comfort and an electric barbecue grill. There is also an electric pancakes/pancakes maker. Cozy (covered) outdoor cooking while the rest of the family sits on the porch or plays outside.

In the sheltered backyard is a sitting area, dining table with 4 chairs, a Weber bbq and a nice sandbox.

In the atmospheric glamping tent you really imagine yourself in Africa because of the interior and photos on the wall. But you will also discover the photos of the big five of De Alde Feanen National Park here. The Alde Feanen is a beautiful National Park near Grou. Rent a boat or take a bike for a nice trip through this nature and discover the 'big fiif' for yourself.

Two bedrooms with excellent Eastborn mattresses
In the master bedroom there is a double slatted base bed (160x200) and a clothes rack. The other cozy bedroom has a bunk bed with excellent mattresses and an open closet. All beds have single 4-season duvets. The linen sets are ready. Do you want to start your holiday relaxed right away? Then choose the option 'beds made on arrival'.

Grou and surroundings
Our safari lodge is located on the island and water park Yn'e Lijte. This island is connected to Grou by one bridge and a ferry. Grou is a lively and cozy water sports village, in the middle of Friesland.

The island of Yn'e Lijte is located in the wetland area of De Alde Feanen National Park. This area invites you to go fishing or to go on the water with your own or a rented boat (with possibly our discount voucher!).

In the summer season you can also cycle a beautiful '8 van Grou' cycle route - or the ferry route . A beautiful trip that takes you through the beautiful nature of Friesland and where you will encounter various ferries and taverns along the way. Highly recommended!
