Natural swimming pool 5 minutes walk from the Marretoer holiday home. There is one with a screened area for the little ones. Playground equipment, a sandpit, a volleyball court, a table tennis table and a toilet building have also been installed.
The bicycle ferries bring walkers and cyclists across the ditches.
The Waterpoort was probably built around 1492 as part of the city defense. It is Sneek's biggest attraction.
In Sneek there are cozy (heated) terraces, restaurants, shops, etc.
During the Sneekweek, sailing competitions are organized on the Sneekermeer for 6 days from the 1st Saturday in August. It is the largest inshore sailing competition event in Europe.
Concerts and a great atmosphere in Sneek during the Sneekweek.
In July, the Balloon Party takes place in Joure with dozens of balloons.
There is a beautiful and pleasant golf course in St. Nicolaasga, a 20-minute drive from the Marretoer holiday home.

Het ontbijt, Lunch en diner smaken nog lekkerder in de oude voormalige Wachtkamer, waar je de grote tafel kan dekken tot 11 personen.
De Salon werd gebruikt door de voormalige huisarts, als studeerkamer of om met vrienden een potje schaak te spelen.
Master bedroom met boxspring van 1,80 breed en vier seizoenen donsdekbed.

Gezamenlijk een spelletje spelen, een boek lezen of lekker onderuit liggen in de serre... het kan allemaal in de tuinkamer.
Ook deze flatscreen bezit een Google chromecast.
Ons vernieuwde interieur (december 2019)
In de boekenkast is er voor ieder wat wils te vinden.
Relaxen in de serre maar er toch helemaal bij horen.
De 'wachtkamer' heeft een doorloop naar de 'spreekkamer'.
Vanuit de 'Wachtkamer 'loop je makkelijk weer even naar de keuken om de laatste gerechten nog uit de oven(s) te halen .
De Spreekkamer, zo genoemd omdat de voormalige huisarts hier zijn patiënten ontving maar de omgetoverd naar een warme knusse woonkamer.
Het oude doktershuis bezit nog vele originele glas in lood zoals het plafond uit 1915.

The private terrace at the studio with a table, 4 adjustable chairs and a cushion box for the chair cushions.
In addition to being able to sit and relax on the corner sofa, you can also easily turn it into a 2-person bed.
The holiday studio has a private front door of which the upper part can be opened separately.

The dining table can be folded out to eat together, play a game or work on.
In the small kitchen you will find an electric 2-burner hob, an airfryer, a large fridge with a large freezer compartment underneath. There are also pans, plates, cutlery, kitchen linen, among other things.
You can also watch Netflix and listen to the radio via the TV.
For the evening we have cozy lights and the candles can be lit.
In the coffee corner there is a senseo and a kettle. There are coffee cups, coffee creamer, sugar and tea bags to give your stay a nice start.
Through the passage you enter the sleeping area. There you will see the bathroom with the closed sliding doors on the left.

We only get compliments about the sleeping comfort of the bed.

You can cook in the kitchen. All necessities are available. There is an electric 2-burner hob and there is an air fryer.
The sleeping area has a king-size bed. En-suite is the bathroom closed by sliding doors with walk-in shower, toilet and bathroom furniture. Here the towels are ready for you.
Here is a map. The studio is split into a sitting and a sleeping area. The entire room is nicely decorated with art and a beautiful light bamboo floor.
The cozy sitting area has a sofa, 2 leather chairs with armrests, a coffee table and a wall unit. It contains the books and TV with Netflix. And there is art on the wall.
