This beautiful stone holiday home with lots of light is located in a small-scale quiet holiday park directly on open water in the heart of Friesland. Your dog is free and very welcome. Ideal for cycling, walking, fishing or for water sports enthusiasts such as sailing, renting a motorboat or supping.
The house itself is quiet, on the edge of the park, not directly on the waterway (25 meters as the crow flies) with a large garden with grass, sunny and spacious terrace with lots of privacy and sheltered location, you can enjoy the first and last rays of sunshine in spring and autumn.
On the terrace there are pots with palm tree, oleander and Spanish daisies for a Mediterranean feeling, but in Friesland :)
Sturdy picnic table with cushions, BBQ, 2 chairs and drinks tables, here you can enjoy the peace and nature.
Ideal area with the electric bike or for walkers. Located right next to the bicycle junction. Beautiful trips to Workum, Sneek, Hindeloopen and Gaasterland.
The house is located in Gaastmeer, located between Oudega and Heeg.
There is a VVV information point at the park and there is the possibility to rent a sloop, sup or sailboat per day, from the park you go straight onto the Frisian lakes. You can also bring your own sloop or sailboat with trailer at an additional cost, there are berths in the park and there is a slipway in the village and a crane in the park.
You can rent an aluminum sloop with outboard motor for as little as 37.50 Euro. You can then get on the boat at 12.00 noon, you can sail to Oudega, for example, about 2 hours, have lunch on the terrace and then sail back quietly. The park has a cozy restaurant, which is open in high season and certain holidays. There is also a second restaurant on the water within walking distance. In the village there is a camp shop/supermarket and an eel smoker where you can buy various types of freshly smoked fish.
The house is located on a quiet car-free lane, the car may be placed just close to the house for loading and unloading and must then be placed back in the parking lot nearby.

Door to the inside gives access to the house with a modern kitchen: knife block with stainless steel knives, gas stove with 4 burners, new built-in oven/microwave, refrigerator, pans, plates, cutlery, glasses, everything is there to be able to cook extensively yourself. There is a Weber BBQ available.
Modern oak bar table with 4 comfortable bar stools and separate sitting area with sofa and 2 armchairs with large screen TV including free use of all TV channels or radio channels. Your own fast internet/wifi with code, you can watch Netflix with your own subscription. This makes the house also suitable in the winter months, for example for longer rental for those who want to work from home in a quiet location. Central heating in winter. Good sun protection in the summer.

We rent the house contactless, i.e. no one is present on arrival, You will receive the key code of the box in advance with a detailed instruction, We are always available for questions.
On site is a shed with washing machine, here you can place your own electric bicycles. Socket available for charging the bikes. Furthermore, a large parasol. Behind is a smaller terrace with half sun half shade and a herb garden, for those who like to cook there are fresh herbs.
