Our beautiful new and luxurious holiday home (2025) has a spacious green garden all around with a separate terrace with a canopy (lounge area) where you can enjoy the often beautiful sunset, on the lovely lounge set. You can also play a game of darts with your friends or family. There is also a lockable shed for bicycles, outdoor toys, etc. The house is completely energy neutral. There is ample parking space on site.

The holiday home is located 1.8 km from the cozy and attractive village of Appelscha where the Boerenstreekmarkt and the well-known 'Camel Market' can be visited. The location is practically in the middle of the Drents-Friese would where various activities can be done (climbing the forest tower (1.6 km), climbing park, survival (boys from Outdoor), miniature golf, MTB and many cycling routes etc) Restaurants, music (amphitheater), plenty of entertainment venues, lunchrooms and cozy restaurants.
The prison museum in Veenhuizen (peat colony village) is also recommended with beer tasting. Nearby are several heath and raised moor areas (Fochtelöerveen, Dwingelderveld, Doldersummerveld) where many different (rare) bird species occur, including the crane. The beautiful forests, sand dunes Aekingerzand (also called 'the bare dunes' by the locals) and heathlands are accessible via various walking routes. There are also 2 recreational lakes within easy reach: Lake Canada (5 km) and Lake Blue (10 km) in Hoogersmilde. The municipal swimming pool is 0.2 km away behind the house.
