The small-scale recreational park De Oostermaat (municipality of Midden-Drenthe) is located on a vast natural plateau and near farmland. Without asphalt or lampposts, where you can still count the stars at night and there is also a pleasant tranquility during the day.

The bedroom at the front has a double box spring of 2.20 m. So nice for tall people. In addition, the box spring can be separated, so that two single beds can be placed. The other bedroom is also more than comfortable. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. And both are not adjacent to a bedroom. You can hang your own laptop on the flat screen or watch DVDs.

We are Annemarie Houkes and Roeland Tameling. Both born and raised in the north. She in Drenthe (Sleen), he in Groningen (Leek). Our parents still live there and we therefore regularly spend the night in our holiday home in Westerbork. With great pleasure, and we would like to share that pleasure with you.

Annemarie likes walking, yoga and going to the sauna. And Roland? Running, meeting his friends and working as a volunteer in youth work and all kinds of boards.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Do you want to cancel or change your reservation?

It is possible that you have to cancel your reservation. In that case, the following rules apply:

Within 14 days of making the reservation, the reservation can be canceled free of charge unless the cancellation is made 30 days or less before the start of your stay.
If a reservation is cancelled after 14 days of making the reservation or within 30 days of the start of your stay, both a cancellation fee and the administration fee charged for the reservation will be due. The total costs for cancellations up to 30 days before the day of arrival are 30% of the total amount and for cancellations from the 30th day before arrival or later the full total amount.

Those are the formal conditions. But where possible, we are happy to arrange for a free rebooking to another date. Whether that works depends on the circumstances, so feel free to ask Annemarie about the possibilities.

Costs for charging your electric car and the reasonable use of other utilities (water, internet, etc.)

Everyone knows Camp Westerbork from the Second World War. But did you know that Moluccans lived in the barracks for years afterwards?

Our favorite nature reserves in the area are the Orvelterzand (which we border), the Mantingerzand and the Balloërveld. And of course the Drents-Friese Wold and Dwingelderveld National Parks with various cycling and horse riding routes, adventure trails and cool ATB routes.
