Romantic B&B with privacy and private hot tub
Hidden in the charming village of Gees, in the middle of the Geeserbos and the surrounding meadows, is a unique place to completely unwind. This attractive accommodation offers everything you need to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle: space, privacy, nature and a good dose of comfort. Ideal for a relaxing stay as a couple, or a romantic weekend away.
The accommodation
What was once a beach house on the coast of IJmuiden is now a stylishly furnished guesthouse in Drenthe. With care and creativity, it has been transformed into a warm, comfortable place where you can enjoy undisturbed. Inside you will find a cozy sitting area with lounge chairs, a dining table, a separate bedroom with a comfortable double bed (200 x 160 cm), and a neat bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Even in the colder months it is wonderful here thanks to the heating.
The kitchen corner is equipped with useful extras such as a fridge with chilled drinks (for a fee), cutlery and crockery, a kettle with tea and a Senseo machine including coffee pods. Outside there is a patio with comfortable chairs where breakfast is served in the morning, and in the garden you can relax on sunbeds or regular garden chairs.
Want to make your stay even more special? Then it is possible to book the private hot tub. This is located right next to the residence, is constantly heated to 38 degrees, and completely for your own use. The hot tub is available 24/7, automatically heated and filtered – ultimate luxury in complete privacy.
The area
Gees is a wonderful base for nature lovers. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes that take you through the wooded area, such as the famous Pieterpad or the Drenthepad. For art lovers, the Big Art & Garden sculpture garden is a must: an impressive estate of 7 hectares where even former Queen Beatrix liked to come. Fancy something tasty or active? Nearby you will find artisanal ice cream makers such as Talenti, and for golf enthusiasts there is a beautiful course nearby: De Gelpenberg.
