Rural stay in a characterful old thatched farmhouse from 1852. If you like rural accommodation, tranquility, nature and a characterful stay, this Hoeve is definitely recommended. Beautifully situated, attractive and comfortably furnished back house with private garden, entrance and lovely electrically adjustable beds. At this cottage you book including kitchen and linen and you will also receive a towel package. Upon arrival you will find a made bed. The house has been tastefully renovated while retaining the characteristic old elemenent and furnished with modern color schemes. The living room is laid out in such a way that you have a beautiful view of the private garden and meadows from the comfortable sitting area. A flat screen TV with a wide range of channels and radio and Wifi are at your disposal. The spacious country kitchen is functionally equipped with a 4-burner gas stove, dishwasher, large fridge with freezer compartment, oven and microwave. The site is designed in such a way that you have enough privacy. The hamlet of Eemster, the location of this farm, is 4 km away from Dwingeloo, with the most beautiful green in Drenthe! On the green you will find monumental farms, cozy terraces and restaurants, cozy shops and the Albert Heijn. There is a bicycle junction 500 meters away from the holiday home.

The farm is located exactly between the two national parks "Dwingelderveld" and the National Park "Drents-Friesche would". Beautiful heaths, forests, sand drifts and fens make this location the ideal base for a beautiful nature experience. The parks contain several visitor centers, bird observation huts, and trails for cyclists, hikers, horse riders, and MTB riders. And not only that, you can also hear the owls, see bats flying around and enjoy the beautiful starry sky from the Hoeve because it is still really dark here! In the ridge of the farm is a so-called 'owl board' which is regularly visited by the barn owl and little owl. The owner also has a beautiful bird watcher/telescope with tripod which you can rent for a reasonable amount to spot birds and wildlife. In the sideboard there are various (nature) guides and cycling/walking information where you can read a thing or two about the flora and fauna and cultural richness of the area.
