Palazzo Capponi

Palazzo in Borgo Medievale Toscana on the 'Strada del Vino'
Lovely apartment  in a beautiful recently restored Palazzo from '700 in a typical Tuscan Borgo on the 'Strade del Vino'! In the building there are a small number of apartments with communal garden and swimming pool with sun loungers. You also have a private parking space. The Palazzo and the garden with swimming pool offer a panoramic view of the 'Valdera', which extends to the sea. Immersed in a landscape of cypresses and hills, the apartment combines the charm of the Tuscan countryside with the tranquility and privacy of an exclusive residence. The panoramic swimming pool offers spectacular views of the cypresses and vineyards as far as the Apennines. The apartment is bright and cozy. Close to San Miniato, Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Florence and many others beautiful villages in the Valdera such as Peccioli. Enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and Tuscan life

The apartment has a very spacious  bedroom with a view of the garden and pool and the landscape with automatic air conditioning and large double bed and  also a dresser and large wardrobe. The living room, which is also equipped with automatic air conditioning (with sofa bed), has a 4-person dining table and 2 leather sofas with table and a china cabinet. The separate luxury kitchen is fully equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and all kitchen utensils. The  separate bathroom has a shower, sink, bidet and hair dryer and is adjacent to the bedroom in the hall.

The Palazzo is, as mentioned, close to the Tuscan coast and ancient Tuscan and former Etruscan and Roman  cities as well as many other small beautiful villages such as Lari or Pontedera, where you drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside and on the way you have an espresso, cappuccino  or Aperol or perhaps lunch or dinner. Peace, space, a green environment provide  relaxation for body and mind and yet everything can be reached within a short distance by car. Delicious vineyards and wine tastings, local biodynamic cheese makers but also restaurants that reflect the real Tuscan and Italian traditional cuisine! In the local villages you can often drink the best coffee for € 1.20 and capuccino for € 1.50, in short, affordable food and drinks! History, traditions, culture... and great food will make your stay a lasting memory!

Additional information

Volterra is a town and comune in the province of Pisa in the Tuscany region of Italy. The town was founded in the Villanova era (9th-7th century BC) and is located on a hill (511 m) overlooking the hills in the area. Volterra was one of the twelve Etruscan cities in Tuscany. The city has 11,000 inhabitants and attracts many tourists.
The city was first mentioned by the historian Livius (in book XXI) as the place to which Sempronius retreated in 218 BC after the Battle of the Trebia against Hannibal ("Secundum eam pugnam Hannibal in Ligures, Sempronius Lucam concessit"). In 180 BC it became part of the Roman Empire.
San Gimignano, a walled city, is known for its fourteen towers that dominate the silhouette of the city. These were built by wealthy families between the 12th and 14th centuries. The towers served as a home and fortification, but above all as a prestige object. During the struggle between rival families, or between supporters of Guelphs on the one hand and Ghibellines on the other.
Florence is probably the most distinctly Renaissance city in Italy. Nowhere else in Italy are there so many buildings and works of art from this period. Famous Renaissance artists such as Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo Buonarroti.
Monteriggioni is one of the best preserved medieval fortifications in Italy.
