On the grounds of Podere di Maggio, an area of over 30 hectares between chestnut forests, streams and olive groves, we rent out an apartment with a lot of privacy, surrounded by nature and with a beautiful view over the valley.
The old stone-built house has been lovingly renovated and can accommodate 2-3 people. The house is completely self-sufficient with a bedroom, bathroom and spacious kitchen with fireplace.
Outside there is a shaded terrace with a barbeque.
The house offers maximum privacy and, above all, silence. There is unlimited space and lots of nature around the house; an encounter with a deer, a fox, a badger or a porcupine is therefore normal.
In the immediate vicinity there is, next to a swimming pool. filled with spring water and with a fantastic view, a wonderful swimming opportunity in the river, of which the water is spotless.
You can eat, in addition to in-house, in one of the small restaurants in the immediate vicinity, where delicious regional dishes are served for a low price.
In addition to the beautiful Monte Amiata, an old extinct volcano, there is much to see in the immediate vicinity. Fantastic medieval towns such as Sorano, Pitigliano, Arcidosso, Etruscan excavations and many natural parks.
A little further away, about an hour's drive away, we find Siena, Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi and the beautiful Tyrhenian coast with beautiful beaches.
