We restored this watermill in 2006 with old materials and attention to detail. Beams like logs and terracotta ceilings have been preserved, floors and doors have been restored. Old millstones are still in the kitchen. The aqueduct that supplied water to the paddle wheel until 1978 is still there and forms a frame for the garden. Sanitary, central heating and electricity are new, as is the swimming pool of 12x6 mtr. The house is furnished with Italian antiques, but the beds and mattresses are new. The garden is an oasis of peace, with the constant babbling of the brook in the background. In the front garden are apple, pear, plum, cherry and pear trees. Each tenant is allowed to harvest as much as desired every day. Top right eight olive trees. There are two large terraces and a small one, and all over the garden are shady areas to rest. There is a large trampoline for the children (including older children ...). The house is easy to drive, which makes excursions practical. Lucca 15 minutes, Florence 60 minutes, Pisa (airport and city) 35 minutes, Siena 90 minutes.
