We restored this watermill in 2006 with old materials and attention to detail. Beams such as tree trunks and terracotta ceilings have been preserved, floors and doors have been restored. Old millstones are still in the kitchen. The aqueduct that supplied water to the paddle wheel until 1972 is still there and forms a frame for the garden. Plumbing, central heating and electricity are modern, as is the swimming pool of 12x6 meters. The house is furnished with Italian antiques, but the beds and mattresses are new. The garden is an oasis of peace, with the constant babbling of the stream in the background. In the front garden there are apple, plum, cherry and pear trees. Every tenant can harvest as much as possible every day as desired. At the top right are eight olive trees. There are two large terraces and a small one, and everywhere in the garden there are shady places to rest. For the children (also older children ...) there is a large trampoline. The house is easy to drive, which makes excursions practical. Lucca 15 min, Florence 60 min, Pisa (airport and city) 35 min, Siena 90 min.
