Day trips to Tuscan cities
Rivalto is a good base for day trips to various Tuscan cities. Pisa and Volterra are only half an hour's drive away and Florence and Lucca can be reached in an hour. The beach is also not far away. After a beautiful drive through the Tuscan hills, you will be lying on your towel in 45 minutes. Do you want to see towns, but don't want to go out all day? In the vicinity there are nice places to visit, such as Lari and Peccioli. Rivalto is located on the Strada del vino delle Colline Pisane. For wine lovers, there are several wineries where you can taste wine and enjoy good food. You can enjoy hiking in the area.
There are several hiking trails, for example to the waterfalls or to a small church in the mountains. In Rivalto there is a great restaurant. Do you want more choice? The town of Chianni is within walking distance, here you will find small shops and several restaurants and bars.
The apartment
The apartment is cosily furnished and very comfortable. It has a bedroom with a door to the terrace and a spacious living room with a double sofa bed. The living room opens onto the village square. Open the doors and you'll be sitting on your own terrace overlooking the valley of Volterra. And there is enough space for another place to sleep. Due to the thick walls, the apartment is wonderfully cool in the summer. In the summer it can get very hot in Tuscany and luckily Rivalto is located on a hill and there is always a fresh breeze and a pleasant temperature.
