The property is in a beautiful area of Tuscany, surrounded by olive groves and green dense forests with pine trees; close to the most important art city of Italy (Florence, Voters, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca) and the coast of Versilia. Its location and altitude of about 300 meters at sea level guarantee a mild and pleasant climate in any season. It enjoys a panoramic position about 1.5 km from the village of Buti. It is a quiet location that offers a lot of privacy to the guests. From the large terrace (equipped with table and chairs for outdoor dining) and the swimming pool you can enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding hills. The swimming pool (for your private use) is 14 meters long and 5.5 meters wide, the depth is 1.5 meters. On the property there are 2 houses (only rented together) for a total of 6 bedrooms and 14 sleeping places (max. 13 adults or 12 adults and 2 children). The main house has 4 bedrooms / sleeps 9, while the other house has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 5. The houses have been restored with special attention to the original materials (terracotta, wood, stone...) and furnished with furniture of the Tuscan tradition. The large house has on the ground floor a kitchen, living/dining room, a double bedroom and a toilet. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It sleeps a total of 9 (max. 8 adults or 7 adults and 2 children). The small house has on the ground floor a kitchen, living / dining room, bathroom with shower and toilet. On the upper floor there is a bedroom with 2 single beds, a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a toilet. It is also possible to have a cot and high chair.
In and around Buti are all the necessary shops and several restaurants/pizzerias/bars. Mini market and bakery are available in the main square (piazza Garibaldi), on Monday mornings it is also the market place. Supermarket available at 5 km. There is a house restaurant 550 metres from the property, they also deliver food and it is possible to organise cooking classes. Other recommended restaurants/pizzerias: Al vecchio molino, Le mangiatoie da Tormento, Trattoria Pacci, La Grotta, I maggi. Tennis courts available at 7 km.
Access road:
Please note that the road from Buti to the house (1.5 km in total) has 500 meters of steep road with 3 hairpin bends and 900 meters of gravel road. We therefore do not recommend coming with sports cars or caravans. Except for Ferrari and other similar sports cars, it is no problem to drive up with other cars. The road is 700 meters long one lane and the last 200 meters narrower. If you encounter another car, one of those cars must return to the first available space. The road is used by the owners/guests of 5 houses, so it is a road with little traffic. The driver must at least be familiar with the car maneuvers.
Dogs:
Dogs are welcome, the tenant must check that the furniture is not damaged, remove the droppings and prevent them from digging holes or getting into the pool. Extra costs: 25 euros per dog. If you want to bring more than 2 dogs, please request this before booking.
