Villa San Giorgio is a historic residence, set among enchanting olive groves and vineyards, offering guests an elegant retreat in the heart of the Chianti hills. The estate features a large complex consisting of the villa, the tower, a romantic park and a French garden. Guests can enjoy an infinity pool (12 x 8 m, 1.50 m deep) set amidst olive groves with a private sunbathing area, as well as a panoramic terrace overlooking the rolling hills of Chianti and the iconic Florence Cathedral.
Steeped in history, Villa San Giorgio has been home to many illustrious Florentine families, including the Scolari, Pitti, and Medici dynasties. In 1585, Grand Duke Francesco de' Medici donated the estate to the famous sculptor Giambologna, after which it passed to his pupil Pietro Tacca. Over the centuries, the estate has welcomed noble owners, such as Prince Talleyrand and the Counts Pandolfini, who still own it today. Thanks to a careful restoration, which was started in 1999 by Elizabeth Pandolfini, the villa has been restored to its former glory.
