The Baita* is equipped for a nice and relaxing holiday. The house has thick walls, nice and cool in the summer, warmth inside in the winter. Off grid with power from the sun and water from the source, On the ground floor are the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is new and fully equipped with a 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator and crockery. There is a dining table with comfortable chairs and a sofa (also possible as a bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m).
Through the hall with internal stairs to the upper floor with a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has completely new sanitary facilities, toilet, sink and spacious walk-in shower. The bedroom is large with a good bed (1.60 x 2.00 m) and sitting area. Bed linen and towels are provided. It is a clean and nice house, lovingly renovated by us. There are several terraces around the holiday home. Next to the house is a terrace with stone table, bbq and gas burner. There are also 2 picnic tables on the terraces around the house. The house is accessible by car and there is a carport on the property.
The baita is located in the beautiful nature of Paesana, a village in Piedmont in the north of Italy. Paesana has all amenities, shops, bakers, butchers, greengrocer, supermarket and the Friday weekly market. There is a bus station with a connection to Saluzzo and there are plenty of charging stations for electric cars in the area. Fly to Turin (1.5 hours) or Milan (2.5 hours).
Located in the vicinity of the Monviso (3841 m) belonging to the Cottian Alps. With beautiful views, nature, hiking trails, cycling routes and the origin of the Po.
The Baita
We were surprised that the house looked so good (inside and out), we had seen it differently. Good floors, roof, spacious interior staircase and a good construction. All we had to do was refurbish the holiday home and make it 'just' off-grid. A fun and educational job that took a little longer than expected, it was a good snow year!
We have refurbished the entire house with a new kitchen, stove, plumbing, water pipe and the solar panels installed. Everything painted inside and outside the shutters and doors made nice and green.
The baita has a spacious bedroom upstairs with a good bed and downstairs in the kitchen a sofa bed. The bathroom is also upstairs and has a toilet, sink and walk-in shower.
Outside there are several terraces, the largest terrace next to the baita has a 3 meter long fixed table. There is a picnic table in front of the holiday home and a small picnic table on the spacious grounds.
It is a spacious and cozy house, neat and clean, fully furnished and lovingly refurbished. Has a lot of privacy and is surrounded by nature within walking distance of Paesana on hiking trails and cycling routes. No smoking, no pets.
