The holiday home is located amidst the vineyards in the rolling hills of the town of Ovada, located in the southern part of Piemonte, Alto Monferrato, an area where nature shows its best sides! This fantastic area has been nominated as a UNESCO world heritage. Not only nature has something to offer, but also the gastronomy in combination with the special wines of this region are absolutely worth it!

The house is centrally located, making it a great starting point for a fun variety of holiday activities. The numerous beautiful castles in the vicinity provide a fantastic panorama during a tour. During the spring, summer and autumn, the villages in the area organize many “sagra's”, village festivals where the local culinary specialties are prepared. This is a fun and cozy way to taste the atmosphere and delicacies of the pure Italian village life. In addition, anticities and all kinds of items of local craftsmanship are offered on the “mercatini” (small village markets).

City lovers can visit the vibrant and Mediterranean Genoa, which is about 40 km from Ovada. Just an hour away you will find yourself in fashionable, chic, fashion-sensitive and trendy Milan. Besides a visit to the EXPO, you can of course also enjoy shopping here, just like in the Mc Arthur Glenn Serravalle Outlet which is located about 20km from Ovada!

About half an hour away you are on the beautiful beaches of the Italian Riviera. The winter sun is particularly pleasantly warm, and during the summer months the clear azure sea water is a welcome refreshment!

On a sporting level you can walk, cycle and swim.

The house is equipped with every comfort and comfort, and is located on the ground floor with a private terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped including oven, microwave, dishwasher and 4-burner gas stove. There is a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with a bunk bed and in the living room there is a sofa bed for 2 people. The bathroom has a washing machine, phon and iron. TV and Wifi available.

We are a Dutch family, moved to Piemonte to enjoy “la bella vita Italiana” !! And the picture is complete: the beautiful nature, the fantastic gastronomy, the delicious wine, the pleasant climate and the charms of the simply delicious Italian way of life, have captured our hearts! We bought an old wine farm and completely renovated it. The holiday apartment that we offer for rent was once the warehouse of the farm!

Of course offer the beautiful beaches of the Floral Rivière 30 min drive, with the bright blue / turquoise sea, a pleasant refreshment during the summer months. But even during the low season, in spring and autumn, the days at the beach are fantastic! Without the summer crowds enjoying pleasant temperatures, tasty lunches and refreshing aperitifs on the beach! And do not underestimate especially the winter! During Christmas and New Year there are many Italians who come looking particularly pleasant winter in this area!

The house is situated in the southern part of Piedmont, Alto Monferrato, a region where nature shows its best side! This fantastic area is also nominated for a UNESCO certificate. There is a national park, the "Parco Naturale delle Capanne di Marcarolo", situated between Ovada and Genoa, where the trails take you to beautiful panoramas! For experienced hikers, there is the panoramic point from which to see even Corsica! The true lovers go here looking for truffles, mushrooms and chestnuts.

Indispensable during your vacation is a visit to a castle or wijnverbouwend winemaker! Truffles: "strada del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba": this is a vast area between Asti and Alba, where entrepreneurs and provinces to work together to exploit the excellent quality of the white truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico) at home and abroad. The area is rich in restaurants where the chefs put their passion and talent in the unique flavorful preparation of truffles and other local specialties. Local wines, castles and a magnificent panorama are a rich addition to the culinary delight! Sweet delicacies, including local 'Baci di Tagliolo, "the" Amaretti di Voltaggio, "Torrone honey and cheese, especially goat and sheep cheese

Genoa, a true Southern European UNESCO port city, where the passionate, raw and chaotic atmosphere takes you into another world. The compact city with beautiful architecture, is definitely worth a visit! As well as organized city tours that will take you to the real streets of the real Genoa. Milan, a city that needs no explanation! In the city of fashion and design, it is enough to sit on a bench and admire the true Milanese for their well-prepared (brand) clothing with perfect all matching accessories, which they of course will be a touch of sensual perfume to your nose beyond go! The famous 'Scala' (theater and concert hall), or the numerous bars / cafes offer grand entertainment of rich aperitif to nighttime hours. Turin, a beautiful Baroque city, with its wide boulevards, numerous arcades, imposing buildings and coffee houses. A city known for its production of cars, chocolate, coffee and alcoholic treats. Surrounded by green mountains and Turin also benefits from a panoramic location!

Throughout the year, but especially from April to October, there are numerous castles, forts, gardens, palaces, towers and villas open to the public. This initiative (called "Castelli aperti" (castles open)) is organized by the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo in collaboration with the Piedmont Region and the Ministry of Economic Development. There are places where you can eat and enjoy the local specialties.

Whale Watching in Genoa: a boat trip of about 4 hours with the dolphins, whales and even tuna swimming alongside the boat, jumping and showing their snout !! Cinque Terre: 5 car-free villages of unique beauty, the sea, connected by a walkway. Breathtakingly beautiful and definitely worth it! Portofino an allure port town, if you can moor your boat here ......

Ovada has a continental climate. It enjoys a hot summer with a refreshing breeze, a cold winter, a particularly pleasant spring with warm air from the sea and a fall which would allow the summer days. In winter the Ovadesen often go to sea, where they enjoy the warm Mediterranean climate and a stay at the seaside on the beach offers a pleasant respite from the winter months.
