Casa del Picchio

In Casa Del Picchio you can enjoy your holiday really in the middle of nature between the beautiful Marchian hills and yet close to all amenities.

This area has not yet been overrun with tourists and is really 'the real authentic Italy' with such friendly people! The many sights within a short driving distance are also a 'real' plus for us in this area. (Beach, mountains, castle villages etc)

Atmospheric and complete. We find that important. You should be able to feel completely at home in our casa! Our house has a really beautiful location. The house is surrounded by nature between the hills with real total privacy.

Our house is located on a so-called 'white well-paved gravel road' and is easily accessible. We do find it less suitable for really lowered cars. In 5 minutes you drive to the nearest village to the bakery and small supermarket and in 10 minutes you are at a large supermarket. From our casa you drive in 20/25 minutes to the coast at Fano. If you drive the other way, you are in a beautiful mountain landscape in 20 minutes! Around our casa you will find numerous restaurants within 15 minutes where you can have a good lunch or dinner. There are also many places of interest nearby.


Holiday home layout:
the 1st floor are two bedrooms (1 with a double bed, and 1 bedroom with a double bed and a single bed), a simple bathroom with toilet, bidet and walk-in shower. The top two bedrooms have air conditioning and mosquito nets and shutters to close. The third bedroom is downstairs and has a double bed and mosquito nets. This room has no air conditioning but is very cool in the summer. All bedrooms have the option of adding a camp bed. All mattresses are of hotel quality for a wonderful night's sleep. The living room is a nice space with a large dining table and access to the garden with patio doors and access to the beautiful covered portico with a view over the garden and swimming pool (from 2023). The living room has a large flat screen TV with Dutch TV via Canal digital (or netflix, videoland) and comfortable sofas for relaxing.

The typical Italian kitchen has a tiled worktop and has a 5-burner gas stove with oven, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. You can enjoy your meals on the terrace that is easily accessible from the kitchen.
There is also a pizza oven in the kitchen.

On the terrace you will find a lovely large lounge set, a dining table and a large kamado BBQ with pizza stone. In the garden you will find wonderful places to sit in the shade or the sun. There are many fruit trees which can of course be used during the stay. There is a large swimming pool (from 2023) of 10×5 with lovely sun loungers around. There is also a jeu-de-boules court next to the house. There is a large trampoline and a football goal for the children. The whole house and large part of the garden has access to WIFI. In the hall you will find a spacious sanitary room with a large sink, toilet and bidet and a washing machine. Also good to use as a second bathroom.
