Experience a holiday in authentic Italian style at Casale "Regina", a charming and comfortable holiday home where peace, space and character come together.
The main house can accommodate five people, while the separate guest house can accommodate two more guests – ideal for (grand)parents, an au pair or older children.
The detached house is set in large, completely private grounds at the end of a cul-de-sac, near the medieval village of Collevecchio. Perched on a hill and surrounded by a lush, fenced garden with a lockable gate, Casale "Regina" offers complete privacy and spectacular views over the Sabine hills.
The garden exudes tranquility and Mediterranean charm: olive and fruit trees surround the grounds, while atmospheric lighting brings the evenings to life. Several terraces, a veranda with grapevines, alarge swimming pool (6 x 12 m) with sun loungers, a solar outdoor shower, and table tennis make this the perfect place to enjoy the Italian outdoors.
Inside, the house is furnished with great care and style. The living room has a beautiful fireplace with wood burning stove and exudes warmth and character. The kitchen, completely renovated using local materials, is equipped with modern appliances: a SMEG oven and stove, microwave and Miele dishwasher. There is room for eight people at the dining table, and of course there is a Nespresso coffee machine , in addition to classic Italian percolators. On the ground floor there is also a washing machine and an extra bathroom with toilet.
Via a wide, imposing external staircase with balcony you reach the first floor, where two spacious bedrooms with high beamed ceilings offer a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside. The bathroom, completely renovated in 2023, combines modern comfort with country elegance.
The guest house opposite the main house has its own entrance, a double room and a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and bidet – an ideal place for extra guests who want a little more privacy.
The large private swimming pool has a modern layout and has a sunbathing area, comfortable sun loungers, a solar outdoor shower, mood lighting and a spacious semicircular staircase. During your stay, the pool is professionally maintained.
The area – Lazio & Sabina
The Lazio region is much more than just the hinterland of Rome. The northern part, known as the Sabina, is one of the most unspoiled and enchanting landscapes in Italy.
Located in this hilly region northwest of Rome, Collevecchio is known for its mosaic of olive groves, forests, and medieval villages.
The lakes Lago di Bracciano and Lago di Bolsena, the beaches of Frejene and Tarquinia, and the nature reserve around Bassano and Trevignano are within easy reach. The many wine routes and olive oil producers in the area also make trips extra worthwhile.
The village of Collevecchio (RI) is located on the border of Lazio and Umbria, in the middle of the romantic Italian countryside and only an hour's drive from the historic center of Rome. With less than 1,500 inhabitants, the village exudes authenticity and serenity. Casale "Regina" is located on the outskirts of the village, with panoramic views over the Sabine hills – an oasis for those who love silence, nature and the beauty of rural Italy.
Although Collevecchio is small, it offers all the basic amenities:
a supermarket, pharmacy, butcher, tabaccheria, bank with ATM, bakery "Il Vecchio Forno" and of course a cozy bar on the village square. Several excellent restaurants are just a few kilometers away, where you can enjoy the authentic cuisine of Lazio.
Rome and Fiumicino Airport are less than an hour's drive away. Casale "Regina" is easily accessible by car, but also by train from Poggio Sommaville/Collevecchio station, just five minutes away.
