Holiday home Serrari is located in the province of Rome, in the Lazio region.

The owner is Marielou, a Dutch lady who has been living in Italy for over 30 years, and the hosts are her son Juri (who speaks Italian and Dutch) and his wife Chiara (who speaks Italian, English and Spanish).

The house is situated on an enclosed private area of 2 hectares with an automatic gate. It is ideal for families or group of friends(8 to 10 people maximum).

We have 4 rooms (10 beds in total), 2 bathrooms, a large living room with a big fire place and a wood stove, a spacious kitchen, 4 outdoor terraces (one equipped with outdoor grill) and a huge garden with a round above-the-ground swimming pool.

The house is very close to the wonderful ruins of Ancient Monterano and only 15 minutes from the Medieval town of Bracciano, with its castle and its beautiful lake. Besides, the sea is only 30 minutes away.

It is great in every season. You can enjoy the swimming pool and go to the lake or to the sea during the summer, and warm up next to the fireplace in winter.

Animals are more than welcome.

The owner of Holiday Home Serrari is Marielou. She is originally Dutch, but she've been living in Italy for over 30 years. Me and my husband, Marielou's son, are the host of the house and are more then happy to provide advices and info at our guests before and during they're stayng. I speak Italian, English and Spanish and my husband speaks Dutch.

Due to its location in the middle of an Etruscan area, in the vicinity of Lake Bracciano and a short distance from the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Rome, numerous activities and excursions are possible. In the vicinity are picturesque villages, each with its own history. In the summer and on weekends there is always a village festival somewhere.

The holiday home is located about 15 km from Lake Bracciano and the imposing castle of Orsini-Odescalchi. A little further, but also on Lake Bracciano, Anguillara Sabazia is a picturesque town. Viterbo, a 1-hour drive away, is worth a visit. At Tuscania, also about an hour's drive away, is the 9th century Basilica of St. Pietro.

About 2 km from Antica Monterano
Less than 2 km away you will find the ruins of the lost city of Monterano. Take a great walking tour through the Etruscan era and ancient Rome. It is no coincidence that this place has also been used as a set for films such as Ben-Hur. Here you will find works by Bernini, among others. Free entrance.

•The city of Rome is about 45 km away. Of course you can take the car, but if you want to avoid traffic and parking costs, take the train. You can be at the Vatican in an hour and you already have a day ticket for 5 euros.

You can get your groceries +/- 2 km away in the characteristic old villages of Canale Monterano, Manziana and Oriolo Romano. You will find authentic bakers and butchers and of course Italian coffee bars, but also good supermarkets. There are regular markets for seasonal fruits and vegetables.

There are lots of sights and walks in the area. If you want a tip about good food in the neighborhood or do not come anywhere, call Marilou, the owner and also hostess of the house.
