Your apartment is a perfect starting point for making well-marked mountain hikes. For example, you can hike from Acquaseria to Menaggio along the greenway. This is the historic route along the lake. The views are breathtaking and along the way you will pass villa Gaeta, the famous place from the James Bond movie: Casino Royale.
The beautiful city of Como is 45 minutes by car. Milan is also worth a day trip. The world-famous cathedral the Duome, the museums, the canals and the cozy wide shopping streets are highly recommended.
Around Lake Como you will find several historic villas with botanical exotic gardens. In Tremezzo, the famous Villa Carlotta is definitely worth a visit. In Lugano, half an hour's drive away, there is a large theater for a concert, performance and exhibitions.
