Completely renovated (2024) apartment, with two bedrooms, both with a bathroom en suite, located on Lake Lugano in the Italian village of Porlezza in the residence Porto Letizia. Because of the two bathrooms, also very ideal for two couples.
Our apartment has the following layout:
Living room / open kitchen
Living room with open kitchen with bar. Kitchen with a combi microwave, a dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and induction hob.
Coffee maker, senso machine, nespresso-machine, milk frother, a kettle, a sandwich maker/grill and also a hand blender are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare your meals (possibly yourself).
In the living room there is another wine cooler.
Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: large double bed: 180 x 210m. Ample storage space in large wardrobes.
Bedroom 2: two single beds 80 x 200. Can also be used as a double bed.
Both (ensuite) bathrooms have a toilet, sink, mirror cabinet and a spacious shower, with a rain and hand shower. There is also a washing machine in the apartment.
In the living room there is a new sofa bed, with a good mattress, which can also be used as a double bed.
In the hallway there are 2 cupboards, with plenty of storage space. There is also a washing machine .
From both the living room and bedroom 1 you enter a balcony, with a view of the mountains and the town of Porlezza. The balconies have morning sun, approximately until 12.00. Both balconies have adjustable armchairs and various balcony hanging tables, so that there is a possibility to have breakfast on the balcony or to enjoy a snack and/or a drink.
There is plenty of free parking atthe complex. There is also a restaurant, bar, ice cream parlor and a few shops.
Porlezza
The centre of Porlezza can be reached within 10 minutes via a walk along the beautiful promenade along Lake Lugano. There are several shops, bars, ice cream parlors, and of course a lot of restaurants. There are several supermarkets in Porlezza, with long opening hours. One of the supermarkets is even open 24 hours a day.
Weekly market
Every Saturday morning there is a weekly market near the apartment. The market is well attended and has a regional function. There are also various local delicacies, such as cheeses, hams, sausages and olives, for sale
Piano lake
About 3 kilometers from the apartment is the Piano Lake in a beautiful nature reserve. This lake can be reached via a nice walk from the apartment. Every evening, around dusk, the deer that live in the nature reserve come to graze in the meadows. There are many of them! This makes for a nice picture!
Mountain peaks and the villages of Lake Lugano
Nearby are several very authentic and characteristic mountain peaks, definitely worth a visit and a walk. Together with the villages located on the lake, these are the "Valsolda villages". These villages also have a lot of atmosphere and are worth a visit
Lake como
The beautiful Lake Como is 20 minutes by car from Porlezza. There is also a beautiful cycling route from Porlezza to Menaggio, one of the gems of Lake Como.
Various trips are possible on Lake Como, including using the ferry to cross to Bellagio and Varenna, for example. This can be done on foot, by bicycle and by car. Along Lake Como you can take beautiful walks, including the signposted route "Greenway del Lago."
Winter sports activities
In Madesimo (Italy) at 80 km and Sankt Moritz (Switzerland) at 110 km from Porlezza there are possibilities for one or more days of winter sports activities.
In this winter period, the rate for low season applies in our apartment (with the exception of December 24 to January 2).
