This lovely air-conditioned chalet, located at Camping International in Porlezza (Italy) is located directly on Lake Lugano.
The chalet itself, approx. 40 m² is fully equipped. In front of the chalet you have a covered veranda, with tarpaulin for the colder days, the living room is furnished with a sitting area and satellite TV (also DVD), a dining area and air conditioning.
The open kitchen is fully equipped with gas fireplace and microwave. The bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and plenty of storage space. And 2 bedrooms, 1 master bedroom with double bed and 2 wardrobes and a children's room with a single bed, a bunk bed and a wardrobe.
The chalet is quietly located on the side of the campsite on the river (separated by a dam) about 100 meters from the lake on a more or less dead end street.
You park right next to the chalet and here too you have a seating area and a charcoal BBQ.
The campsite has a large swimming pool with 5 slides for young and old and is free of charge for you as a guest. You will also find a kiosk where ice cream, sweets, fries and with a bit of luck even frikandellen are available in high season. There is also a large playground with trampolines, air cushions, climbing frames, slides and fitness equipment. There is a football field and in the summer months there is a children's disco on the campsite in the evening. In the middle of the campsite there is a shop where you can get fresh bread rolls and the essentials for your daily use, as well as ice cream, cappuccinos and alcoholic drinks, which you can enjoy inside or on the terrace.
Just outside the gates of the campsite is a Pizzeria which is open for lunch and dinner, I don't think you will eat a bad pizza in Italy but this Pizzeria is frequented by Italians which is a good sign and we can confirm that the Pizzas here are delicious. Next to the Pizzeria is another bar where live music is often played, so you never have to go far.
In Porlezza you will find everything you need in terms of shops and supermarkets, also here of course delicious restaurants with terraces, this is easy to do on foot, where you walk along the river and the lake through parks with several playgrounds. On Saturdays there is a large market in Porlezza with fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, bread etc. but also clothes, shoes and other items.
It is actually too much to mention, if we have piqued your interest I will say, take a quick look at the available periods and book this chalet before it is too late and discover everything else on your own.
With less than 1000km from Utrecht, you can drive to Porlezza in one day and have no additional costs for overnight stays along the way.
If you have never driven through Switzerland before, you will enjoy the 250km from Basel to Lugano with the gigantic mountains left and right and if you dare, take the Gotthard Pass instead of the tunnel, this will be an experience.
Folks, I wish you a lot of fun..!
