Casa Pantana

Really enjoy the real and authentic Italian life! Casa Pantana is located just outside the historic center of Maratea in a beautiful and quiet place. The house was built in 2006 and is set in 5000m2 of land with 50 olive trees. The house offers 100% privacy and overlooks the mountains. The area is ideal for walks, trips and a beach holiday. The beautiful beaches are 15 minutes away by car. The house is suitable for 4 people.

You enter  the large living-dining kitchen with fireplace. The kitchen has a large 6-burner gas stove, oven, fridge / freezer, a coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine. Above the living-dining area is a loft that is accessible by a fixed staircase.

Furthermore, the house has 2 bedrooms with double beds. The bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet and bidet.

Outside is a large covered terrace with a table with chairs, a lounge set and sunbeds. The terrace is an extension of the comfortable home. There is an outdoor shower.

Maratea is located in the Basilicata region and is one of the most undiscovered regions of Italy. It is an ideal holiday destination if you want to stay away from mass tourism. Maratea is located on the Gulf of Policastro, south of the Amalfi Coast and Naples and is sandwiched between the regions of Campania in the north and Calabria in the south. Basilicata is one of the few barely discovered regions of Italy. The inhabitants still live from agriculture, fruit cultivation and a little fishing. There is no industry and there is no mass tourism. Maratea is a perfect base for a cycling, walking and beach holiday.

The coast offers numerous bays with beautiful beaches and crystal clear blue seawater.
The seawater is among the cleanest in Italy. The surrounding mountains are rugged and inhospitable with a rich flora and fauna. Maratea is surrounded by three national parks: parco nazionale del Cilento, parco nazionale dell Appennino Lucano and parco nazionale del Pollino. The small mountain villages are still very authentic. A visit to the towns of Aieta, Rivello, Orsomarso and Moregati leaves deep impressions.

The combination of green mountains, authentic villages, hidden beaches and an azure blue sea makes the area unique and attractive.
