Casa del noce – renovated farmhouse with swimming pool between sea and mountains.
The renovated farmhouse is located on the slope to the village of Cermignano.
If you are looking for a spacious and tastefully decorated house to enjoy a quiet or active holiday and explore the real Abruzzo, this is the place for you.
Located on a quiet, dead-end gravel road, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The ground floor consists of a spacious farmhouse kitchen, with a seating table for eight people. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern amenities (fridge / freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, various coffee machines ...).
There is a spacious sitting area with various seats and TV set. For the cold days outside the summer months there is a pellet stove. The living space has been renovated while retaining some original features and furniture.
The master bedroom is located on the ground floor next to the living space with an en-suite shower room.
The upper floor consists of 2 bedrooms – one with king-size bed and 1 with 2 single beds. Here is also a separate bathroom with shower.
All rooms have a view of the garden or the surroundings.
If you step outside the kitchen you will find a picturesque terrace with the possibility to eat outside, with a view of the surrounding walnut forest and a view of the young olive grove and fruit trees. Above you on the hill behind you can see the village.
The swimming pool with the natural colour of the sea is a place to relax in the sun, or cool off on the plage, which is covered with 20 cm of water.
Abruzzo is a mountainous region that overlooks the Adriatic Sea. Almost half of the region is a nature park or nature reserve. These parks are home to the Marscian brown bear and the Apennine wolf, medieval castles, mountain villages, monasteries and Roman ruins are plentiful in the region.
You can take some walks from the house, there is a farm road that leads to Poggio delle Rose, or you can head into the mountains where you can explore Campo Imperatore, a vast plateau in the middle of the Gran Sasso National Park, from where you can take one of the many hiking trails or mountain bike trails. On a hot summer's day, this is the place to cool off while enjoying a picnic (with arrosticini) before taking a drive to Rocca Calasico, a spectacular castle with stunning views.
There are many beautiful beaches in the area where you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas. The beaches of Rose degli Abruzzo and Pineto are around a 45-minute drive away and offer plenty of beach bars with private beach facilities. A free beach is located near the Cerrano Tower. Further afield is the Trabocchi Coast, named for its famous cantilevered fishing platforms, some of which have been converted into atmospheric restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day. You can rent a bike in Ortona and ride up and down Via Verde dei Trabocchi.
