Experience pure village life in the hills of unspoilt North Bali. Away from the hectic and busy South, the stylish villa Ananda is hidden in the green village of Umeanyar.

You take a dip in the private pool. From the terrace on the top floor, villa Ananada offers a fantastic view over the valley to the sea and you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. Villa Ananda has a good WiFi connection and a television, for which no extra costs are charged. Your breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared with care by our 2 permanent staff members at cost price.
In the evening you will be surrounded by tropical sounds and scents.

Villa Ananda was built in 2010 and equipped with all amenities and luxury. During construction, we were inspired by the principle of fengshui (= the application of positive energy flows according to ancient Chinese teachings) and by Balinese architecture. The villa consists of two floors and is a 5-minute drive from the sea.

The furnishings are stylish with beautiful details. Every corner has its own atmosphere.

Partly due to its location in the middle of a Balinese village, villa Ananda offers you the opportunity to experience two cultures up close: real Balinese village life, children playing in the street, Oriental charm and hospitality in a luxurious but homely atmosphere. However, you should keep in mind that Balinese people get up early and start their activities before it gets hot.
In short: experience 'Ananda' = 'bliss'.

For a fee, we will arrange a driver to pick you up from the airport or another place in Bali upon arrival. And a driver can also be arranged during your stay. The compensation is approximately €50 per full day (approximately €25 per half day).

In November 2008 we arrived in the village of Umeanyar in the hills of North Bali. When we sat on the stairs of one of the houses and watched daily life, we said to each other, almost simultaneously: 'It feels good here, I would like to have a house here.' We bought not 1, but 2 houses, had them demolished and our friend Agus built villa 'Ananda' there in 2009/2010 = bliss. The result of 'the best of both worlds'.

Rental prices

For a maximum stay of 1 person, a 25% discount applies on request.
For a maximum stay of 1 or 2 people longer than 1 week, an additional discount applies on request.

For a stay of longer than 2 weeks, a discount of at least 20% applies. Request a price. Special rates for wintering are available on request.

The prices include :
• 10% government tax
• full service, cook, domestic help and gardener (6 days a week from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm)
• unlimited use of a good internet connection.
• normal use of gas, water and electricity
• use of bed linen (changed once a week)
• use of towels and beach towels

The prices do not include :
• food and drinks (and therefore excluding drinking water in dispenser)
• transportation (airport pick-up or drop-off can be arranged on request)
• registration with the police for stays longer than 4 nights and when renting the motorcycle. If an accident occurs, it is important that you are registered somewhere. Costs 100,000 rp (€6.10)
You must arrange cancellation insurance and travel insurance yourself.

Additional information

The black lava beach of Umeanyar is a five-minute drive from villa Ananda. The beach is quiet and not commercial. There is a diving school where you can also go night diving. The Balinese come to the beach between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Then go for a swim and enjoy the most beautiful sunset. Hotel Nalika offers a lovely terrace on the beach.

The cool mountains behind provide beautiful waterfalls and breathtaking rice terraces, where you can walk under the guidance

You should not miss the early morning dolphins at Lovina. A fishing boat gets you in the early morning on the beach in Umeanyar.

On 10 minutes away is the only Buddhist temple in Bali with a mini Burubudur

After an hour's drive from the villa yourself in the National Park Law Bali. You can go hiking and trekking do.

Seririt is a ten-minute drive away, with a large daily market (pasar). There is a Gladys supermarket in Seririt towards Banjar. There is a more luxurious Pepito supermarket in Lovina.

Experience village life in Umeanyar. Balinese people are selling their wares, children playing in the street and there is a lot offered.

An hour's drive from the boat to Menganan island. Without doubt the most beautiful place in Bali to norkelen and diving.

A masseuse is available on call, who will give you a wonderful massage in the villa. Price: Rp 100,000 approximately € 7 for an hour of massage.

You can also drive to (hotel) Puri Bagus Spa on the east side of Lovina. It is an oasis of peace, right by the sea, where you can receive massages and other wellness treatments.
