Het Herenhuis", located in Poroszlo on the edge of the village at +/- 1 km from the lake, the supermarket and several restaurants, has a large garden with private heated swimming pool of 10 x 5 m. The house is very suitable for a large family or 2 befriended families.The main house includes a spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen with wide sliding door to the covered terrace. The kitchen is equipped with combi freezer fridge, vitro ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker + Senseo, kettle and mixer.A wide hallway leads to the master bedroom (double bed, 1.80 m) with ensuite bathroom and private toilet and to the 2nd bedroom (2 single beds) also with private bathroom. A 2nd toilet is located in the hallway.Washing machine and ironing facilities.The guesthouse consists of 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first bedroom with double bed (1.80 m) has a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The other two bedrooms (one with double bed 1.60 m and one with 1 single bed + double bed) have a shared bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.There are 2 cots and a highchair and playpen. WIFI is available as well as TV with DVD player and connection via TV-Vlaanderen. 8 bicycles (including 3 children's bikes) are at the disposal of our guests as well as Dutch and German books, DVDs and children's toys. The swimming pool is located between both houses and is heated with solar panels. Both the garden and the pool are regularly maintained by a gardener. Adjoining the house we rent a second holiday home the "Melody haz", suitable for 5 people + baby. The house has a living room with kitchen corner, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large garden with covered terrace and jacuzzi. Possibly this house can be booked for a large family or group.

After we retired, we started looking for a holiday home and immediately felt attracted by the charm and tranquility that this piece of nature exudes. We were therefore delighted when we had the opportunity to purchase our "Mansion", a 100-year-old manor farm. After thorough renovation and adaptation to modern amenities, we are happy to be able to share this property with other families and those seeking peace and quiet.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

Poroszló lies at the northern top of the lake. It is a real wild water area with willows, rush and reed fields, islands, rare birds and a home for waterfowl and small game. The bird sanctuary that is part of the Unesco World Heritage List can be visited by participating in organized tours starting in the port. The village has its own beach and harbor where boats can be rented (with or without a guide). There are several restaurants, bars, shops and is conveniently located on the entertainment roads to all places around Lake Tisza. There are many excursion options in the area. Some suggestions: the Baroque town of Eger with its museums and many wine cellars; Mezökövesd with traditional crafts; the many thermal pools; Horthobagy with covered wagon ride and horse show on the Puszta; The castle of Sissi in Gödöllö, not to mention Budapest, the Paris of the East.

The owners assume that you will bear the risks of cancellation yourself. You must also have third-party liability insurance that is valid for the duration of the rental.

About 2 weeks before arrival you will receive an email with information about the holiday home and surroundings. On the attached Excel list, you must fill in your identification details and return them at least 3 days before arrival. You will then receive the code for the key box.
