Villa Wellerwaard is a beautiful new villa with private pool on the south side of Crete. The villa is very attractively furnished and suitable for up to 6 people. The house offers a lot of privacy because of its very convenient location in relation to the other villas on this mountain. Due to the layout of the villa, you can stay here with 2 people, a family or with friends (couples).
Inside
The main house has a large and cozy kitchen, living room with beautiful views over the valley and a large bedroom with king-size bed and ensuite bathroom (shower and toilet). There is also a separate toilet and laundry room.
Surprising is the outdoor patio where delicious herbs grow that you can pick when you decide to cook yourself.
In the 2 bedrooms, which are connected to the main building by a spacious outdoor kitchen, you will find the other 4 sleeping places. Both bedrooms have a double bed, a rain shower and a separate toilet. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a sliding door, screen doors and blackout curtains. From the terrace, which is adjacent to all the buildings, you have a fantastic view over the valley, the Libyan Sea and the villages in the area.
Outside
There are 6 lovely sunbeds by the pool and after the refreshing morning swim, the beautiful outdoor kitchen offers enough space to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with your entire group. There is also an outdoor shower and umbrellas.
Next to the villa you can easily park your car.
Please note:
- The price is based on 4 people. Each additional person must be booked separately.
- Villa Wellerwaard is not suitable for children under the age of 12. The main house has 1 bedroom, the other bedrooms are separate and are slightly higher (a few steps) than the main house.
Environment
From the villa you can walk straight through the olive groves into the valley. Here you can completely relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the starry sky in the evening. The beach is only 5 minutes away by car and can also be reached on foot for experienced hikers. The way back to the villa is a tough climb, be warned.
Villa Wellerwaard is within walking distance of the beautiful village of Mariou. In the square there is a small shop where you can buy locally made cheese and yogurt, eggs, bread, coffee and some necessary shopping. There is also a small grill tavern on the square and a little further down the village on the road a traditional kafenion. Here the men sit on the sidewalk under the mulberry tree drinking their coffee or raki and playing a game of cards.
Mariou taverna is less than a 10-minute walk from the villa and has a beautiful view of the whole area. The friendly Plakias is 4 km away and has all kinds of facilities: bakeries, supermarkets, many cozy restaurants, beach bars, a diving school, car and scooter rental, a very long beach and much more.
