Villa Zaverda

From its hillside location, Villa Zaverda has fantastic panoramic views of the picturesque village, the bay of the village of Paleros and the imposing Acarnanian mountains in the background. The villa located next to adjacent olive groves is within walking distance of the beach (about 5 minutes walk) and the village. Paleros is a Greek fishing village with the advantage of being on the mainland, with plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful beaches, sail, walk, dive, play tennis, swim, dine in the many tavernas and restaurants and enjoy the traditional Greek gastronomy. 

Aktion Airport (PVK, Preveza) is about 30 minutes away. Renting a car is not necessarily necessary around the villa and the village, but it does give the opportunity to explore all the beaches and water activities such as sailing, kite and windsurfing nearby. In addition, it is a beautiful starting point, especially in spring and autumn, for hiking through the mountains or by using the Lefkada trails on the nearby island of Lefkada. 

The beaches of Paleros and Pogonia, with generally calm waters, are ideal for children. There are a few beach bars with music, food and the delicious Greek cold coffee. Vathiavali, for example, has spectacular turquoise waters, a relaxed  atmosphere and a great beach bar. If you fancy a cultural visit, you can visit the ancient ruins of Paleros or Necropoli near Preveza. Also recommended is the Church Bay of Agios Ioannis, with nothing but a church and ideal for picnicking and enjoying a drink, and perhaps by playing music yourself. Or visit one of the styrands further south towards Mythikas. 

In the village there is a tennis court, easy to book and private lessons are possible. Day sailing with a professional skipper gives you the opportunity to explore the beautiful Ionian Islands, including Skorpios, the famous island that belonged to Aristotle Onassis and where Jackie Kennedy was photographed many years earlier. The villages of Mytikas, Vonitsa but also Lefkada Town (with its urban atmosphere and many restaurants) are less than half an hour's drive away.

Villa Zaverda has three bedrooms, a large private swimming pool, large terrace (patio) with lots of privacy, a sun terrace and a spacious garden enclosed with orleanders. The private swimming pool measures 5 by 10 meters and is low in chlorine due to the salt installation. There are various seating areas, umbrellas, teak sunbeds and sitting/sunbags in the outdoor area. There is a staircase to the outdoor kitchen and to the garden with the play lawn and flowering plants. 

The main residence consists of a cozy living room with a fully equipped open kitchen that is fully equipped. The living room has a full width sliding doors, beautifully overlooking the pool, terrace, village and sea. The living room has a dining table for six, a comfortable seating area and a smart TV.  

Adjacent is the master bedroom with a double bed, spacious fitted wardrobes, a separate toilet, a sink and a walk-in rain shower. This room also has sliding doors with the same view as from the living room.

There are two bedrooms on the other side of the patio. Both rooms have sliding doors that open onto the patio. Both are also equipped with spacious fitted wardrobes and a walk-in rain shower. These bedrooms are separated by a room with two sinks and a separate toilet. Between the bedrooms and this room are sliding doors for any desired privacy.

All bedrooms have mirrors, the bedrooms by the patio also have a small worktop. The entire villa is equipped with Wifi of which the signal is amplified by Wifi amplifiers. All windows have musquito sliding doors and have electric lockable shutters. After all, the villa has four air conditioning units, one in each room. There is a private parking space.
The fully equipped outdoor kitchen with BBQ options (Basterd BBQ) is equipped with an electrically operated awning. Fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme and oregano are abundant in the garden and ideal for preparing a Greek meal.

Children are welcome at Villa Zaverda, and for the little ones it is important to know that the pool runs parallel to the terrace and that the terrace rises about 1 meter above the garden. There is no fence around the pool and terrace. These hazards are at your own risk. Villa Zaverda accepts no liability.

Cleaning of the villa and change of linen in the middle of the week is included in the price.

In Villa Zaverda there are bedrooms for six people. In the main residence, after consultation with the landlord, it is possible to use a double sofa bed.

No parties are allowed.
