Holiday home near the Harz Mountains

Completely modernized house with sauna on the edge of the beautiful Harz and near the Bodethal.

The house is in a very quiet neighborhood within walking distance of a supermarket and a restaurant. 

2 km away is the beautiful Bodental where you can go up on foot or by elevator. Mountain bikes are also taken up by lift. There is plenty to do for children and adults. Such as a climbing park, summer toboggan run, outdoor swimming pool, wellness center. There is also a lot to do outside of Thale. The valley of the bode (Bodethal) is an absolute must. A short distance away, Quedlingburg and Werningrode, two beautiful historic places with many half-timbered houses. In the Harz there is an extensive (narrow) railway network. Includes the possibility to ride the steam train up to the top of the Brocken (the highest mountain in the Harz Mountains). A visit to the Teufelsmauer is also highly recommended.

About the property
The ground floor apartment can be rented (1-4 people).
Wifi is available (extra wifi amplifier on the first floor due to thick floors).
Pets not allowed.
The stairs to the top can be closed with a stair gate. For larger groups, the upstairs apartment can be  rented in full (option "extra rental guest house"). Renting the upstairs apartment separately is not possible (to guarantee privacy).

In 2015 part of the furniture in the living room was replaced. Summer 2016 Finnish sauna installed. Summer 2019 second home/video room on the first floor realized and can therefore also be used. Winter (2020/2021) super quiet dishwasher and washing machine installed and wifi amplifier on the first floor.

Please note: this is a house from about 1800. As a result, the ceiling on the upper floor is low (180-200 cm depending on the beams).  Ground floor apartment has normal ceiling height.
