Haus am Anger is a large holiday home for 12-14 people, very suitable for families, (multiple) families, but also groups of friends. The house is the last house on a dead end street. Therefore a quiet location and ideal for families with young children. It is located on the edge of the village of Siedlinghausen, about 10 kilometers from the famous winter sports resort of Winterberg. The house has been recently renovated and has a spacious garden around with terrace, playset, trampoline and double garage. Hiking trails start almost directly at home.
The house is comfortably furnished and suitable for 12-14 people. On the ground floor, the house has a spacious living room with a television corner with wide-screen TV (Dutch channels) and DVD player. On the other side of the living room you will find a large dining table for 12 people and a soapstone wood stove. Adjacent to the living room is a (separate) reading / play room; wonderful for yourself to retire with a good book and for the children to play. There are toys available for young and old. Various board games (Rummikub, scrabble, Keezen game, triviant), shuffleboard, football table, duplo, doll, doll carriage, puzzles, children's books.
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped: dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, large fridge, freezer, coffee maker and Senseo, kettle, mixer and toaster. Finally, there is a guest toilet on the ground floor.
On the first floor there are 4 spacious bedrooms: all 4 with double beds of 210 cm (separate single box springs, one of the bedrooms also has a bunk bed (extra!). The bathroom on the first floor has a walk-in shower and a sink On the landing there is a second guest toilet.
On the second floor there are 2 more spacious bedrooms: both with double beds of 210 cm (separate single box springs). There is also a large bathroom (underfloor heating), equipped with a bath, shower, sink and toilet.
The house is very comfortable and tastefully furnished and has many extras, such as: free WiFi, free use of wood burning stove, various magazines / books, games for young and old, children's toys, cot (3x), high chair (2x), washing machine, tumble dryer, ski storage, large double garage for your bicycle or motorcycle.
In the spacious garden, around the house, you can sit on the terrace in the summer. The children can let off steam on the large lawn with playground equipment and trampoline. There are also outdoor toys available, such as a scooter, tricycle, balls, basketball hoop, table tennis table.
There is plenty of garden furniture and a number of sunbeds for the summer months. Also available: parasol, barbecue, firepit, children's pool.
The house is the last house on a dead end street and is therefore very suitable for children, also because of the space around the house.
Siedlinghausen is a nice village, located between the hills of the Sauerland. In the village there are various shops (bakery, supermarket, drug store, bank and tourist office) and restaurants within walking distance of the house.
In Winterberg, 10 km away, there are several ski areas with a total of 40 kilometers of slopes, ranging from "easy to difficult". Almost all slopes are equipped with snow cannons, so that you can also ski when no snow has fallen. You can even ski on various slopes in the evening. There are various trails for cross-country skiers. Around the 'Kahler Asten' is a beautiful cross-country skiing area with 120 km of interconnected trails. If you prefer to walk, you can enjoy one of the beautiful, signposted hiking trails in the snow.
The winter sports resort of Willingen is certainly also worth a visit. Willingen is about 25 kilometers away and has a total of 18 kilometers of slopes.
In the summer there is also plenty to do in the immediate vicinity; Siedlinghausen has an open-air swimming pool where you can swim in spring and summer, you can enjoy walking on beautiful hiking trails, almost directly from the house, or take a nice trip by bicycle, mountain bike or motorcycle. There is plenty to do for children, including in the adventure park "Fort Fun" just 10 kilometers away. Golf enthusiasts can visit the 9-hole golf course in Winterberg (11 km) or the 18-hole course in Schmallenberg (18 km).
