At a distance of about 300 kilometers from Utrecht in the border area between North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse, lies our quietly located and cozy holiday home. In the village of Padberg in Hoog Sauerland, a village with about 500 inhabitants in the beautiful Diemelsee Nature Park. The house is built on one of the mountains around the center and is located in a small and quiet neighborhood. In front of the house you have a beautiful view of the village, the characteristic church and the valley. The castle of Padberg can be seen from the garden. With the Diemelsee 5 kilometers away, hiking (a pilgrimage path runs past the house), cycling, mountain biking, swimming, water sports and fishing are just a few of the countless opportunities for relaxation. There are also pleasant shopping towns, many restaurants, amusement parks, theaters, castles and monasteries to visit. The area has good, historical ties with the Netherlands and the Royal Family. For winter sports enthusiasts, Willingen is 19 kilometers away from the house. The winter sports area around Winterberg is also easily accessible from Padberg and is definitely worth a visit for winter sports and tourism.

Wonderfully heated, well-arranged, cheap open-air forest swimming pool with paddling pool at 6 km. (open from the end of May - 1 Sep.) in Löhlbach. Other swimming options are Goldbad (indoor pool) in Korbach, 20 km away, or a day trip to Center Parks in Willingen, a 50-minute drive away.
