This comfortable and very fully furnished, detached holiday home is located on a mountain (Am Sternberg). It has a sunny, spacious south-facing terrace and a lawn in front of the house. On the mezzanine floor you sleep in new, raised, electrically adjustable Auping beds with Adjacent is a separate washing facility with its own toilet.
One dog is welcome on the ground floor.
For toddlers a toddler swing and sandbox. At 6 km. a heated outdoor Waldschwimbad (end of May to August) and in Korbach (20 km) a beautiful swimming pool. A day at Centerparcs in Medebach is also possible.
Environment. The house is located in a holiday park without facilities, on the edge of the Unesco Kellerwald-Edersee nature reserve. There are extensive hiking trails of 5 - 180 km. part of the Ars Natura walking route runs along this area. You can also go mountain biking or explore the area by E-bike. E-bikes can be rented at the Edersee. Nordic walking routes have been set out in the area. Golf courses include Waldeck and Bad Wildungen.
Football field, tennis courts and an equestrian centre are within walking distance. The town of Frankenau can also be reached via a hiking trail.
In spring and summer, the Edersee offers numerous water sports opportunities: swimming, bathing, diving, sailing or fishing (permit required). Or a nice boat trip on the reservoir. There is a cycling route around the Edersee, which you can shorten in various places by taking the tour boat or the ferry.
At the Edersee there is a summer toboggan run with playground, a corn maze, a wildlife park with playground, a treetop path, a water park (near Hemfurth) and a climbing park for children from 8 years old.
There are also plenty of cultural activities. Pay a visit to Schloss Waldeck with museum and mountain railway. Or Kassel with its fairy tale museum of the Brothers Grimm. There are also numerous picturesque towns around Frankenau, with half-timbered houses and a rich history, which are definitely worth a visit: Frankenberg, Fritzlar, Bad Arolsen or Marburg.
Accomodation.
In front of the house is a beautiful large terrace with a picnic table for six people and a terrace table with six chairs, two of which are adjustable.
The house exudes a cozy, warm atmosphere. In the bookcase there is something for everyone, from cookbooks to literature and from thrillers to relaxation, but also art and plant books. There are also games for less beautiful days. For the little ones there is a cot, high chair, toddler swing, sandpit and toys.

The sitting area has a spacious sofa and 3 separate chairs. In the room there are two energy efficient electric radiators and there is a wood burning stove.
There is satellite television with the Dutch channels and DVD player and Chromecast

The kitchen is located on the mezzanine floor. It is equipped with a ceramic hob with 4 burners, an oven, a microwave, a fridge freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is also a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker and, for cooking enthusiasts, a mixer and hand blender, kitchen scales, oven dishes and baking tin.
There are three bedrooms;
Bedroom 1: has a 2 person electrically adjustable Auping bed of 160 x 200 cm with 2 mattresses of 80 x 200 cm and is located on the mezzanine. Has its own toilet and sink with hot and cold running water.
Bedroom 2: has a double Auping bed 160 x 200 cm with 2 mattresses of 80 x 200 cm. The bedroom has a sink and opens onto the balcony. The window is equipped with a roller shutter.
Bedroom 3: has two single beds of 90 x200 cm. The cot can also be set up in this room. This room also opens onto the balcony and has a sink and a shutter.
The bathroom.
The bathroom has a shower, sink with base cabinet and toilet.
Parking is available on the street in front of the house.
Please note! This house and the surrounding area is only suitable for people who are able to walk well and have access to a car. The house is located on a mountain (150 meters of slope) which is fairly steep and is only fun on foot or by E-bike or by car. The area is hilly and only fun for E-bikers or sporty mountain bikers! You can start your bike tour from various points in the area. E-bikes can be parked to the right of the house. The Edersee is 20 km away.
