The area
Many hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing routes start just a stone's throw from the front door. The ski area of Altastenberg with several lifts, ski rental and ski school, as well as a toboggan run for sledging can be reached on foot. The village offers several restaurants and there is more than enough to do with the Astenkick Megazipline, Escape Room Winterberg, a Disc Golf course and a mini golf course. More information can be found at the Tourist Info (Haus des Gastes) in the village itself. The larger Winterberg is just under 10 minutes by car and also offers a multitude of restaurants, shops, activities and ski slopes.
The apartment
The apartment has a spacious living room with adjoining large balcony with wide views. With the afternoon and evening sun and an outdoor dining area on the balcony, it is wonderful to stay. The living room has a nice sitting area and four-person dining table. There is a high chair for the little ones. There is also a Smart TV in the living room and of course there is free WiFi throughout the apartment.
The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a bunk bed and also a chest of drawers with changing mat. For the little ones there is also a cot (Hauck Reisebett with extra mattress) available. Bed linen is included, only for the cot you need to bring your own bed linen.
There are books and toys available for the children. For accompanying pets (maximum two, to be specified when booking) there is a food and water bowl available.
The kitchen has electric hobs, oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, kettle and both a Nespresso and a normal (filter) coffee maker. For the little ones there is a baby food/bottle warmer available. Pans, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery (including the child-friendly variants) are provided.
The bathroom consists of a sink, toilet, bath with shower and a hair dryer. A bath insert for the bathtub, as well as a baby potty, a toilet trainer and a stool for the little ones are provided.
In the basement is the general Skiraum (storage room for ski equipment) and the laundry room with a washing machine and dryer (for a fee, we are not liable for any malfunctioning).
The apartment is of course completely at your disposal during your stay. Check-in is done via a key safe in the garage.
Please note! In heavy snowfall, the garage is best reached with sturdy shoes or boots and ski pants.
Parking
The car can be parked for free in the parking spaces in front of the building or in the garage behind the building. In the snow-free seasons, bicycles or motorcycles can of course also be stored in the garage.
Please note! In the event of snowfall, the garage may not be accessible by car and it may be necessary to divert to a public parking lot nearby in high season.
