My name is Alexander van Dijk. In 2010 I visited the Hessische Wald for the first time and was immediately impressed by everything this region has to offer and the hospitality with which I was received. In 2013 I decided to buy a holiday home in this quiet park. After a renovation period of a year, I had created a place for myself where I could find peace, space and comfort. I myself still gratefully use this several times a year

Additional information

Húske us is situated in the woods. From the cottage you can choose several hiking trails that give you many kilometers of hiking. The trails are well marked and a walking map of the area is ready for you!

The Hessian Wald offers excellent opportunities for mountain biking. Us Húske itself has an outside tap allow construction so bikers can directly spray their stuff!

Both the Werra and Fulda offers you the opportunity to canoe a fun day. You will see the region than once from a different angle!

Do something really spectacular? That can too! At just over half an hour from Us Húske you can rent Quads and sometime kinky!

The winter offers beautiful pictures. From Us Húske you superb cross country if you have received the goods. Would you prefer skis or makes you happy using trails than you will find that in this region!

The Tannenburg offers a look back in time. This castle is still being renovated by a group of volunteers, but has now been largely completed. In clothing from the time the Tannenburg was originally used you will be provided with their own brew and traditional cuisine. You can also see how traditional crafts revive.

On the Werra River is this cozy, medium instead. On Saturdays, you can go to the market and of course cozy get a sandwich bratwurst.

Definitely worth a visit to this city in the former East Germany (Thuringia). Here you have the opportunity to shop equally cozy and visit the Bach House, as Johann Sebastian Bach was born here. And a tip: Do not take the highway to Eisenach, but choose the B-roads. Then the journey itself a getaway!

A visit to the spa is a must for lovers of German half-timbered houses! Especially on a summer day, this is an idyllic place where you can get a delicious sundae in peace.

Although the park itself has a small indoor pool, you can in the summer to make better use of the swimming pool in Ronshausen. About 5 km from Us Húske you will find this family pool.

Do something "exciting" with the kids? In Wilpark Meissner walks you through between the red and fallow deer, and you can eat out of your hands! They also have periodically a bird show and the children sat the animals, there is still a great fun play!

Fun for the whole family: A day at an adventure!

Especially for families with smaller children, we recommend a trip to the miniature park!

In the atmospheric old cellar you can enjoy the best meat in the region! Here namely the sausages are still made in the traditional way. A must for any meat lover.

In the center of Ronshausen will find this cozy restaurant. This restaurant is known to you in the winter can eat delicious goose. Please remember that to you already ordered in advance!

Really a typical German restaurant. Many frills in the windowsills and on the walls, corner sofas around the dining tables and a very varied menu. Definitely worth it if you ever want to enjoy an affordable meal!
