The house is located in the beautiful and quiet village of Streckewalde in the beautiful Ore Mountains in Germany. In the nearby area there are many opportunities for wonderful walking, cycling or mountain biking, beautiful motorcycle rides, relaxing in Thermaalbad Wiesenbad and of course visiting countless sights. In nearby Annaberg-Buchholz, in addition to a very beautiful city center, you can also visit several museums such as Manufaktur der Traume, where you can go on a playful journey of discovery through the Ore Mountains.
The Ergebirgsmuseum is a beautiful museum about the history of the Ore Mountains. Schloss Wolkenstein is not only a beautiful view during a walk but also definitely worth a visit.
The art of wood carving is also part of the tradition of the region, so a visit to one of the many wood carving artists is definitely recommended. For activities and sights you don't just have to stay in Germany, there is also plenty to do in the Czech Republic. The area around Fichtelberg and Klinovec is beautiful for walking, cycling and in winter of course for all winter sports activities. Only 1 pass is required for both the German and Czech areas, which is of course very easy. Prague is less than a 2-hour drive away.
The impressive Theresienstadt is less than 1.5 hours from the house. In addition to experiencing culture and being active, you can of course go shopping. Not only in the beautiful city center of Annaberg-Buchholz, Chemnitz, etc., but also, for example, on the market in Potucky and Cheb, which is comparable to De Bazaar in Beverwijk.
