The house is located in the bocage of the Vendée (1 of the three regions with the cleanest air in France!) If you sit in the backyard and look out over the lake, you have a good chance of spotting the kingfisher, oriole and hoopoe. You can also see the kestrels that have lived in the old walls of the house for years. At dusk you can hear barn owls or little owls. Sometimes you are lucky enough to spot the acorn mouse. A true paradise for bird lovers! Through the backyard you reach the lake, the jeu de boule court, the church and the bakery. In the area you can take beautiful walks and fantastic cycling. A varied environment with forests and scenic landscapes. At 50 km are the beautiful sandy beaches of the Vendée, the historic city of La Rochelle and île de Ré. The Puy du Fou amusement park is 40 km away, so there is also plenty to do for the children. There is also a reservoir 15 km away where you can swim.
