Welcome to our holiday home in the Vendée region with its beautiful beaches and many hours of sunshine. The detached house is quietly located in the countryside and has a large enclosed garden, therefore offering a lot of privacy. The house, which is simply but neatly furnished and cozy, has 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and has a (diner) kitchen, a sitting room, a conservatory and a terrace. The large bedroom has enough space for a cot (available in the house). There is an excellent WiFi connection and in the living room there is a (smart) television and a small music system at your disposal. The kitchen is well equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher and a convection oven; The washing machine is located next to the shed and in the corner of the garden you will find a clothes dryer to dry the laundry.
From the terrace you have a beautiful unobstructed view of the valley.
The terrace has a dining table plus four chairs, a large parasol, two sun loungers and a lounge chair, and there are several chairs and seating areas in the garden. The garden offers parking for two cars. The gate can be closed.

Our wonderful holiday home La Lucilière has been in my family's possession for approximately 25 years and we have spent many summer holidays together in this lovely place. We have been offering the house for rental on a limited basis for several years. Explanation of prices

The prices are per week for the entire house and include bed linen, bath towels and kitchen linen.

Cancellation conditions:
If the tenant wishes to cancel the booking for whatever reason, the tenant must always confirm this to the landlord by e-mail (even if this has already been passed on to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts: depending on the date of written cancellation by the renter:
  • cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
  • cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
  • cancellation between the 59th and 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
  • cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price
If the tenant only announces on the commencement date or during the rental period that he will not use the rented property (anymore), he will still owe the full rental price.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

In the village of Apremont you will find a small Spar and a bakery. The nearest large supermarket is in Aizenay. On the coast you will also find some large supermarkets.
In the immediate vicinity of the house there are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. Within cycling distance there is the recreational lake of Apremont where you can swim and all kinds of water sports activities are offered for young and old. About 25 minutes by car are the beaches of St. Gilles and Les Sables, where you can enjoy swimming, surfing and sailing. In terms of cultural activities, the medieval castle and water tower of Apremont are worth a visit and the city of Nantes (about an hour's drive) offers various attractions such as the castle, the Musée d'Arts and Les Machines de l'Île. You can also enjoy shopping in this city. The historical theme park Puy du Fou is also highly recommended for young and old. A little further away, but also definitely worth a day trip, are the island of Le Noirmoutier (where beautiful cycling trips can be made) and the port city of La Rochelle.
In the center of Apremont there are two nice restaurants where good meals are served. There is also a restaurant at the lake where you can eat and drink from the terrace overlooking the water. On the coast there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy French cuisine. Both in the center and on the boulevard of St. Gilles Croix de Vie there is a wide choice of nice terraces and cozy restaurants. In the larger and more sophisticated seaside resort of Les Sables d'Olonne, you will find many good fish restaurants, especially around the harbor where you can have an extensive lunch and dinner. The boulevard is the right place for cozy terraces and the best crêperies.
