With a history dating back to Roman times, Vaucluse today is a patchwork of vineyards, interspersed with olive groves and guarded by the quiet majesty of Mont Ventoux – a mecca for cyclists looking to challenge themselves in the footsteps of their Tour de France heroes.

Located in the valley, our beautiful 200-year-old restored Mas, close to the charming village of Beaumes-de-Venise, offers a spectacular garden and a stone swimming pool, overlooking the surrounding vineyards and the famous Mont Ventoux. Marseille airport, TGV (high-speed train throughout France), and Avignon are nearby, as well as the famous towns of Vaison-la-Romaine, Carpentras, Orange, Avignon and their countless vineyards in beautiful countryside.

This holiday home with courtyard, several terraces, gardens and a large heated stone swimming pool, is approximately 450m2 and is set on 3.5 hectares of private land with an orchard, olive grove, cherry and fig trees, all set in beautiful green countryside, thanks to the canal that runs around the property. Parking is outside the courtyard.

The entire house is available for weekly rental for 12 people.

Since I left the Netherlands 36 years ago, I have mainly lived in Tuscany and Paris. Until 2016 when my husband and I moved to his family estate in the Vaucluse. Since then we divide our time between Tuscany, the Netherlands and the Vaucluse, which is wonderful! The house dates from the 18th century, my parents-in-law did a lot of work on the garden and I was able to express my creativity on the interior. It is a nice place to enjoy the summer with a large group. Welcome!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Additional costs:

Deposit: € 1,100.00 per stay (to be paid at the time of booking)
Cleaning costs: € 500.00 per stay. These costs include bed linen, towels and beds made on arrival, maintenance of the pool and garden, check-in/check-out (will be deducted from the deposit).
Change of bed linen and towels for stays longer than 1 week mandatory: € 15,00 per person (to be paid locally).
Intermediate cleaning for stays longer than 1 week mandatory: € 20,00 per hour (to be paid locally).
Tourist tax: € 0.70 per person per night (to be paid at the time of booking).
Pets are only allowed after consultation: € 50.00 per stay (will be deducted from the deposit).

Due to the risk of fire, any form of open fire in and around the house is strictly prohibited.

Cancellation Policy:
If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price
If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.
