Villa des Rocs in the heart of the Lubéron nature reserve in Provence is a very special place amidst the rocks and a lavender field, next to a small river and forest. Here you have absolute privacy on an estate of 5 hectares, the garden is completely fenced. There are several terraces to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, a beautiful heated pool next to the rock and an outdoor barbecue. For the really hot days there is air conditioning in the house.

The house is on one level and feels far away from it all, although it is close to the picturesque villages of Bonnieux, Roussillon and Apt. There are several super tasty restaurants nearby. The house is close to the cycle route that runs through the entire Lubéron valley. The nearby natural forests also offer plenty of opportunities for walking (with the dogs).

We fell in love with this holiday villa, located in a beautiful area and region. We are Rita and Erwin, raised in Belgium but have lived in the Netherlands for 23 years. In our childhood we often went on holiday in Provence, so it brings back very nice memories. We love beautiful scenery, tranquility, good food and fun. We also like to cycle and walk with the dogs. This is the ideal environment if you are looking for all this.

Near the house, Le pont Julien. Through the bed of the river Calavon, which is dry in summer, you can walk from the house to the ferry Julien. Approx. 20 minutes. Of course you can also just go by car, about 5 minutes.

Le forêt de Cèdres biedt uitstekende wandelmogelijkheden met uitgestippelde wandelroutes van verschillende lengten. Mooie vergezichten en op de weg ernaartoe een mooi uitzicht op het pittoreske dorpje Bonnieux.

Ca. 25 minuten met de auto vanaf onze locatie (15 km).

Verbazingwekkend okerkleurig landschap. Er lopen twee goed begaanbare en bewegwijzerde wandelpaden (van 30 min. en 50 min. ) langs de oude groeves.
Zeer aan te raden!

Ook het schilderachtige dorpje Roussillon is zeer de moeite waard met zijn smalle, soms trapsgewijze aangelegde straatjes. 's Avonds heerlijk gegeten bij restaurant David met een mooi uitzicht op de verlichte rotsen (laatste foto).

4km van onze woning.

The Véloroute du Calavon runs through the valley of the Lubéron. It is 26 km long and runs from Céreste to Cavaillon. A paved cycle path has been constructed on the old railway line, completely free from the main road. You cycle through the most beautiful landscapes of the Lubéron.

This town, built high on a rock, has a particularly picturesque location. Park your car in the car park and take a nice walk through the gardens to the old village. There is also a nice walk that goes through the vineyards from the parking space.
