La Garduelle

This beautiful and recently renovated special house is located in the middle of the Var (Provence), in the idyllic village of Bargemon.

Bargemon is located between the Cote d'Azur (40 minutes drive) and the Gorges du Verdon (approx. 60 minutes drive), close to the picturesque towns of Fayence, Callas and Seillans. The village itself is located in a mountainous area, is rustic and exudes timelessness. The central square is lined by old lime trees and the old alleys with fountains make it an authentic Provencal village.
The village has a bakery (2), butcher, several restaurants and cafes, a local supermarket and various shops.

The area is also ideal for a shorter or longer stay focused on walking/hiking, cycling/cycling, golfing (there are beautiful golf courses nearby) and canoeing/rafting (Gorges du Verdon). And with the Mediterranean Sea within reach, the possibilities are endless.

The house itself is located at the top of the village, about a 5-minute walk from the center. It is located on the edge of the forest in a higher suburb of the village and offers privacy and tranquility. There is room for 3 cars in the on-site parking lot.

The terrain (approximately 1500 m2) is slightly sloping, the garden has old olive trees and cypresses. The terrace faces south, which provides sun from early morning to late evening (with more than enough shade). There is an unobstructed view over the mountains, the valley and an olive grove. From the terrace you have a view of the spacious swimming pool lower down. Under the foliage it is nice to sit in the shade on hot days.

When entering the house, you immediately notice the spacious and characteristic conservatory. This ensures natural coolness in the house. In addition, it is a nice place to sit when it is cooler outside, or to look out over the garden and enjoy the view. The studio is accessible from the conservatory (with its own entrance). You can also reach the rest of the house from the conservatory.

The studio has its own bathroom (shower) and separate toilet, as well as patio doors to the terrace. There is currently a temporary bed (photo), from the end of April this will be a 160*200 four-poster bed. If desired, an extra bed can be placed in this spacious room for a third person. The bathroom is good; this will be renovated at the end of 2024 in line with the other two bathrooms.

The kitchen is equipped with all desired amenities. A large stove with large oven, dishwasher, microwave. The kitchen was completely renovated at the beginning of 2024. All conceivable electrical appliances are available, including Nespresso, filter coffee machine, juice press, mixer, puree bar, microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped with new kitchen knives, glasses, plates and cutlery. The separate utility room has two refrigerators (one with a freezer compartment), washing machine and vacuum cleaner. There is also sufficient storage space.

The living/dining room has a fireplace. The TV is equipped with Chromecast so that you can stream all the programs and films you want from your phone or tablet. There are various games available that can be used freely.

The bedroom/bathroom area on the ground floor is accessible from the living room. The bathroom (new) has a bath with shower and two separate sinks. There is also a separate toilet in the hall. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor of the main house. One with a bed of 140*200 and one with two beds of 90*200. Both have patio doors on the garden/terrace side and have separate shutters (as do all bedrooms). An extra bed can be added in one of the two bedrooms if desired. All beds have new slatted bases and new mattresses.

The loft floor is also accessible from the living room. Here is the 3rd bathroom (new) with a very spacious walk-in shower, sink and toilet. There is also a small bedroom with a single bed (not shown in the photo) and a larger bedroom with another double bed of 160*200. This room has a window on the garden side and also has shutters that can be closed at night.

The garage is located next to the house. Here you will find, among other things, a large electric BBQ/outdoor kitchen, table tennis table, Jeu de Boules, all kinds of swimming pool equipment and tools.

Behind the house there is an opportunity to dry laundry on permanent drying lines.

We work with a local concierge. She takes care of reception, cleaning, garden and pool maintenance and is available during the stay if necessary.

Present: cot + mattress (can be added in any room), high chair, fans.

Final cleaning is mandatory, towels and bed linen are optional
