Villa Mignon — Mesnil-Val, Normandy
Villa Mignon is our family home, and we love to share it. Not a professionally rented holiday home, but an Anglo-Norman villa from 1920 where we have been coming for years — old, full of charm, with the traces of all those summers in it. You walk in barefoot and the garden doors are open all day. The house is located in a quiet street in Mesnil-Val, with the sea and the chalk cliffs a five-minute walk away.
The bakery is the same five minutes away. The fishermen of Le Tréport (3 km) bring their catch to the Poissonnerie Municipale. In Criel there is a market on Wednesdays — the nicest in the area. The large weekly market in the old town of Eu (5 km) has Norman cheeses, sausages, honey, fruit and vegetables from the land.
Layout
The house is equipped for 2 to 6 people, up to 8, and has three bedrooms. The beds are made on arrival.
Two bedrooms with a double bed each
A large bedroom with four single beds (two beds with a trundle bed each)
Two bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink; Downstairs a separate toilet
The house has central heating, and in the dining room there is a wood stove with a seat next to it. On the first floor a separate sitting room with two sofas and a chess table.
Kitchen and amenities
The kitchen has everything: dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine with beans for espresso and cappuccino, milk frother, multimixer, kettle and washing machine. The dryer is in the garage. Furthermore, a Sonos speaker and a smart TV on which you can use your own streaming services.
Garden and beach
The enclosed garden is large, with a nice ground terrace and a barbecue. Children's pool and garden furniture are ready. In the lower garage you will find the umbrella, the beach chairs and the seats for the sea. The second terrace is currently out of use; maintenance is planned there.
As said: a really old house, not a hotel. It is not new, but it is complete — everything for a casual holiday is there.
