Our holiday home 'Magnolia' is very quietly located in beautiful Burgundy, department Saône et Loire. Even in high season it is very quiet. You wake up to wonderful birdsong.
The house has a south terrace at the front (with awning), and a back terrace. There are two bedrooms, each with bathroom and toilet. There is a kitchen with refrigerator and small freezer, gas stove, electric oven and microwave.
On the rear terrace there is an equipped outdoor kitchen, and a barbecue. The living room is 50 m2
The house is located on a property of about 1.5 hectares, and has a flower garden, herb garden, frog pool, swing and petanque court.
There is a washing machine and dryer available. The house has 16 solar panels, and can be heated (or cooled) by a heat pump.
The domain is a wonderful, adventurous playground for children.
There is a cot and a high chair available, and a bed can be added in one of the bedrooms. There is WIFI available.
Swimming is available in the vicinity: La Chapelle saint Sauveur has a beautiful outdoor eco-pool, and there are plenty of wonderful swimming places on the banks of the Doubs.
Those who love cycling and walking will certainly get their money's worth.
There are also many attractions nearby, such as Chalons sur Saône, Beaune and Dijon.
The house is located on the border with the Jura, which you are in the distance.
The department of Saône et Loire is rich in water, there are many rivers and étangs, it is an excellent area for (water) birds. On our domain we hear the nightingale, we regularly get a visit from a beautiful barn owl, and we occasionally see a hoopoe pop up....
The house is very quiet but not isolated. At 3 km there is a supermarket in Pierre De Bresse where you can also find a pharmacist, bakery, butcher etc... .
In Pierre de Bresse there is also a tourist office (syndicat d'initiative) where you will find a lot of information about (activities in) the region.
