The Mountain Village House in Nohèdes is a recently completely renovated house dating from the late 17th century, located on the village square of the small and quiet mountain village of Nohèdes (Nohedes) at an altitude of 1,000 meters in the French Pyrenees Orientales.
The house is just over an hour's drive from the Mediterranean Sea and approximately 3 hours from the center of Barcelona. The house is designed with an open-plan living room and kitchen and has two comfortable bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. The house has a sunny courtyard at the rear, very suitable for quietly enjoying the surroundings.
Due to the location of the house in this exceptionally quiet village, we ask our guests to respect the peace and quiet of the village. The house is therefore not suitable for young children.
Nature and environment:
Nohèdes is located in the 'Parc Naturel des Pyrénées Catalanes' and is on the edge of the Nohèdes Nature Reserve. The house is an excellent starting point for day walks to the four mountain lakes higher up in our valley.
For cycling, mountain biking, canyoning, taking a trip with 'le petit train jaune', visiting the spectacular 'Gorges de Carança', enjoying the various natural sulfur baths, visiting the various forts, monasteries, Cathars castles, the ancient Roman-Greek seaside resort of Collioure and the beaches of the Mediterranean or one of the many historic towns and villages in the area. We have it all!
