La Trouvaille

Gîte La Trouvaille is part of an Auvergne farm, inhabited by the owners, in the very quiet hamlet of Cubes, about 3 km from St.Gervais d'Auvergne.
La Trouvaille is located in a wonderfully private and sunny area on land of approximately 3000 m², sheltered from the hills with a beautiful view of a wooded valley. Part of the grange (large barn) with the écurie (stable) has been converted into a comfortable gîte, while retaining various authentic elements.

This authentic Gîte consists of a spacious living room with kitchen corner and is attractively furnished with a sofa, dining area, television and radio/CD machine.
The kitchen corner contains a 4-burner ceramic hob, an extractor hood, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, an oven, a microwave and is well equipped with crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, glassware, etc. There is also a washing machine.
You have access to a spacious and cozy (completely fenced) private terrace with the possibility of using the sauna and the plunge pool of approx. 4 diam. From here you have a beautiful view over the rolling terrain. Sun loungers and barbecue are ready for you! An authentic natural stone staircase gives access to the floor with the bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, and a separate toilet.
One bedroom has a double bed and the other bedroom has two single beds - all with pillows and duvets and a linen cupboard in each room. Kitchen linen is provided and the number of beds specified will be ready made. There is the possibility of pp. to rent a towel set.

Original Finnish Sauna
For true enthusiasts, an original Finnish sauna is available, complete with cooling area (outside) and warm foot baths and of course the plunge pool to complete the cooling down.



The house La Trouvaille is located in a beautiful area of the Combrailles, part of the beautiful Auvergne, where the landscape is alternately formed by hills with forests and streams, lovely villages, farms and meadows, and the steeper rocks around the river Sioule. The Auvergne is an attractive holiday area partly because of the “Chaîne des Puys”. A continuous chain of volcanoes, of which the Puy de Dôme is the best known. Highly recommended to discover via the well-marked walking routes or by sporty cyclists. But of course you can also get to know this region well through beautiful car trips!
