Are you looking for a holiday in the middle of nature, enjoying freedom, peace and space? Then our holiday home la Virade is definitely recommended for you!

On a dead-end side street of the Gorges de Sioule, high on top of the hill, in the middle of the forest, lies our holiday home la Virade. From the sunny terrace you have a beautiful view of the mountains of the Gorges and you can hear the flow of the river Sioule, where you can fish, swim, paddle and build dams. You can enjoy the terrace in peace and quiet, while the children can play safely.

If it is too quiet, don't worry because at a distance of 800 meters you will already find the first restaurant (Le beau site), where Flemish people are the owners. At 3 km you can rent electric mountain bikes or start a canoe trip.

Our holiday home is suitable for 6 people. It has two sleeping areas. One sleeping area is a bedroom with two double beds (1.40 x 2.00) and the other sleeping area is on the mezzanine. There is a double bed (possibly separated into two single beds of 80 x 2.00)

There is one toilet and a bathroom with sink and shower on the ground floor. There is no wifi available (but 4G coverage), there is no washing machine or dishwasher and no TV reception.

Your pet is welcome, but only on the ground floor.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

This rental price includes beds made, two sets of towels per person, kitchen towels and dishwashing utensils, an amount of electricity (Kwa) per day, tourist tax, heating and wood for the wood stove in the cold periods and the final cleaning.

You cannot cancel your final booking free of charge. The closer to the arrival date, the more costs have been incurred to prepare your stay. Therefore, the amount of the cancellation fee depends on this:
If you cancel 3 months before the start date of your stay, you will receive a refund of 50% of your deposit.
If you cancel 2 months before the start date of your stay, you will receive 30% of your deposit back.
If you cancel 1 month before the start date of your stay, you will not receive a refund. Any paid remainder of the travel sum will also not be returned.
Your reservation must be made to us in writing. For the rest, you may need to take out cancellation insurance with your insurer yourself.

Holiday home la Virade is located in the Combrailles, in the department of Puy de Dôme, province of Auvergne, northwest of the capital Clermont-Ferrand. It is the region of the wide landscapes, hills, lakes, mountains, forests, pure air and real peace and quiet. The Auvergne comprises the largest volcanic area in Europe, two regional nature parks, more than 500 Romanesque churches, some 50 castles to be visited and various towns with thermal baths. The Combrailles offers deciduous and pine forests, winding rivers, streams, picturesque villages and characteristic farms. The Sioule River has eroded the gorges to great depths and formed beautiful meanders. The 450 ha large reservoir 'Les Fades Besserve' is an extension of the Sioule. The Combrailles is located on the edge of the 'Parc Régional Naturel des Volcans d'Auvergne' with some eighty old volcanoes, of which the Puy de Dôme is the most impressive. Here is also the impressive Vulcania theme park. In addition to tranquility, the region offers numerous opportunities for active vacations, such as horse riding, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, swimming, [fly] fishing for trout in the Sioule river, parapenting, hang-gliding of the Puy de Dôme, ULM- flying (ultra light) and in winter skiing or cross-country skiing in the mountains of the Massive Central (1800 m). There are numerous marked walking and cycling routes through the beautiful landscape. Golf enthusiasts can indulge in one of the 15 golf courses in the region.
