holiday house, Combrailles, Puy-de-Dôme, France - Cafe Epicerie
The old sign is still there, it has been a café and Epicerie (grocery) for a long time.
Comfy sofas, TV and DVD player.
The kitchen is a nice place to be. Downstairs it is always cool, even in summer.
This is the 2nd part of the backyard. The entire garden is fenced. Here you can sit, play badminton, etc. All together it is about 1000 m2.
You enter the cozy and complete kitchen on the street side, which used to be the café.
The backyard consists of 2 parts, this is the part behind the house where you can sit in the sun and out of the wind.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a hall with the door to the toilet and the door to the utility room, from the hall you can also go to the top floor.
The sink, sink and dishwasher.
This is the living room, also on the street side. This used to be the epicerie (grocer). Our house is located on the main road through the village, not a busy road and very quiet from about 7 p.m.

Here you see a photo of the hall above and the stairs to the garden. The back of the house is built into the hill, so you can go from this hall to the garden (there is a small terrace outside where you can sit in the sun or dry your laundry).
This is the front bedroom, a spacious, bright and comfortable room with box spring and topper.
This space used to be a small warehouse with shelves.
Large bedroom at the front, tastefully decorated and nice and comfortable bed.
Convenient bench and large window. At night we often hear an owl.
Nice attractive fireplace, is out of use.

Here you see the rear bedroom, complete with built-in wardrobe, sink and 2 separate box springs with latex mattresses.

Handy, the bedroom garden side has a wax fafel.
Room with built-in wardrobe, of course equipped with clothes hangers.
Full bathroom with large shower and double sinks.
We have also renovated the bathroom.

This lantern hangs on our house. The day often starts out a bit foggy (the house is at an altitude of 650 meters) and that creates beautiful images.
Photo taken from the landing at the back. You can also sit comfortably in the sun on it.
The garden borders the road, by opening the gate you reach the sidewalk and the front of the house,
The house is in the village but as you can see with nice views.
In winter it snows regularly.
Autumn is a beautiful time of year to visit the Auvergne! The nights are cool, during the day the weather can still be very nice and the trees color very beautifully.
The backyard in the fall. It can be cold at night but sunny during the day.
Here you can see the house on the right. If you follow the road you will very quickly reach the local restaurant and church.
Clermont-Ferrand, beautiful and pleasant city with a large center more than 1 hour's drive away.
Square in Clermont-Ferrand in summer, near the Cathedral.
Moulins, beautiful city about 1 hour's drive from Gouttières.
As if you are in the Middle Ages! Street in Moulins, but you often encounter these types of buildings in this region.
Grand café in Moulins, worth it!
Vichy, nice city, quite chic. Beautiful location and nice terraces. Spa town.
In the area there are many villages with beautiful old houses.
La Bourboule, with a view of the Puy Sancy. You can go up with a cable car.
If you walk up a bit towards the cemetery you will see this beautiful view (Puy de Dôme can be seen on the right of the photo).
