In our idyllically located holiday home for two, every day quickly feels like Sunday!
The cottage is next to our house, is completely detached and has its own guest garden (300m2) across the narrow country road. Our garden is located at the rear of the two houses, allowing everyone to retreat to the greenery at their own pace and in peace...
You immediately enter the attractive living room with sitting area and breakfast room with a compact functional open kitchen with extensive inventory. During the autumn and winter season, the cosy warmth of the pellet stove embraces you like a cosy blanket and in summer, the characteristic thick walls keep the house nice and cool.
The living area flows seamlessly into the harmonious bathroom. Here, the natural light highlights the soothing atmosphere created by the unique combination of ecological insulation material, a tactile lime/hemp finish and round shapes in light sand tones. And did we mention that the walk-in shower is spacious enough for two?
The staircase takes you to the cozy bedroom nestled under the ridge of the roof. Ultimate sleeping comfort in a king-size box spring with crisp Vintage Cotton sheets. The four-season down keeps you warm as the nights get longer and colder and feels cool in the summer. For the cocooners we have provided a beamer and projection wall!
On arrival, the king-size bed (2x90x200) is already cosily made and we also provide sufficient bath linen and kitchen textiles
For the first day(s) there are coffee, tea and sugar ready for you and in the kitchen you will find salt & pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh bay leaf, stock cubes and household roll
We have chosen to install an ecological water purification system in which reeds and other aquatic plants provide natural water purification. To keep this fragile system in balance, only biodegradable products for kitchen and bathroom can be used
These will be ready for you on arrival (washing-up liquid, shower gel, conditioner, hand soap and toilet paper). Of course, you can also choose to bring your own trusted products if they are biodegradable.
There is a 220V charging point for electric cars on our site, use at your own expense.
In order to keep the gîte tidy and allergy-free for all our guests, we prefer not to allow pets.
You will find us in the charming 'Les Brosses', a hamlet of only five houses in the village of Authiou. We are located in the Nièvre, an authentic and sparsely populated region in the southeast of Burgundy
An ideal destination for those who want to de-energize and are looking for simplicity in abundance! The region is very inviting for nature lovers, birdwatchers, hikers and silence seekers. Enjoy the authentic countryside with rolling views, wooded ridges and quiet villages with hidden castles.
Together with the two neighbouring hamlets, we have only 45 inhabitants and we belong to the arrondissement of Clamecy, a medieval and dynamic town on the edge of the Morvan and close to the beautiful Canal du Nivernais with its 110 charming locks operated manually, a nice experience!
From April to October you can enjoy a wonderful stay with us from two nights. In the quiet winter months (November to March) we invite you to really slow down and you can book a minimum stay of five nights

We do not have fixed changeover days, holidays are there to enjoy and start when you want them to
