Gîte L'Hirondelle Rustique (The Barn Swallow) is a non-smoking gîte. The gîte has a living room with a nice sitting area and an authentic fireplace, with a wood stove. A TV, chromecast, DVD player and WiFi are provided.
The entire ground floor of this holiday home is wheelchair accessible. We have various aids such as a high-low bed and hoist. If you want to rent these, please let us know, and we will make sure they are ready for you upon arrival.
The large, bright kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with freezer, combi microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, 4-burner gas stove, extractor hood, kettle, coffee maker and filter coffee maker, tea towels and cleaning products. All other kitchen utensils are available.
The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and sink. The bathroom has a shower chair and a toilet with armrests.
In the downstairs bedroom there is a twin bed. This can be exchanged for two single beds on request. On the 1st floor are two double rooms, one bedroom with a double bed. The other bedroom has two single beds. On the 1st floor there is a second toilet with a sink.
From the kitchen you enter through the French doors onto a large terrace with fully fenced garden. The terrace is located on the south-west, and has a beautiful view. Garden furniture with cushions, a parasol and a fixed bbq are available. On our property you can enjoy our large swimming pool (5x10 m.). There is also a pétanque court and a table tennis table.

L'Hirondelle Rustique is located à la campagne in the tiny hamlet of Gros Sauvigny (municipality of Anlezy). There is plenty of nature, peace and space here. The landscape is hilly and varied, with meadows, forests, streams and fields. From the gîte it is wonderful to walk. The chance of encountering deer, hares, pine martens or other animals is high.
For cycling enthusiasts, there are several cycling routes. For example, a beautiful cycle path has been built along the Canal du Nivernais. But renting a boat and sailing through the locks of this canal is also recommended.
In addition to hiking and cycling, you can also swim in the area. For example, in the forest lake, about a 10-minute drive from l'Hirondelle Rustique. Canoeing, horse riding, tree climbing, golf and fishing are also available in the surroundings. Morvan Regional Natural Park is nearby. In the Musée de la Mine (La Machine) you can learn everything about the history of mining. Cities such as Decize, Château-Chinon, Nevers, Autun and Bibracte are definitely worth a visit. In the wine towns of Sancerre and Pouilly sur Loire you will find caves where you can taste the wines of this region.
