Holiday house

Médiévale, with a great view!

This holiday home is for bon vivants! In "Médiévale" you will experience old world charm, comfort and a glass of wine on your terrace with a beautiful view.

This medieval farmhouse dates from around 1240 and is without doubt one of the oldest houses in France. Now it is a tasteful holiday home in which ancient architecture and modern interior design go together perfectly.

It is beautifully situated on a rock, in the Bastide village of Flaugnac, so that you have a wide view of the valley and the surrounding hills from your terrace. The old hangar next to the house is a covered terrace, where you can read a book, dream away or cool off under the garden shower in the shade, overlooking the valley.

Let yourself be seduced by the peace and nature and enjoy the French country life.

Living room
with open kitchen, dining area, sitting area, toilet, wood stove, old bread oven, WIFI, WIFI TV, bluetooth speaker. Fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Bedroom on the first floor with double bed (160cm x 200cm) and built-in wardrobe. Ensuite bathroom with rain shower, sink, towel dryer and toilet. Terrace with garden furniture, barbecue, fresh herb garden and a view over the Vallée de la Lupte. Covered terrace with garden furniture, hammock and garden shower.

From your holiday home you can walk straight into the valley, where beautiful hiking trails run. The walking route to Santiago de Compostella also runs close to the village.

This region of France is rich in history, cultural heritage and natural beauty. There is therefore much to discover. The Quercy Blanc is a feast for the senses. Admire the rolling mosaic landscapes of sunflowers, lavender and melons. Visit ancient white Bastide villages with markets to feast on.

Enjoy pure simplicity. Dream away on an old square, walk through the vineyards or a glass of wine at sunset. Experience true French rural life. Visit a wine farm, taste the regional dishes and get to know the local crafts.

Surrounded by various unique nature reserves, a holiday full of variety awaits you. The Lot Valley with its architecture, vineyards, prehistoric caves, picturesque villages and the Roman market town of Cahors. The Dordogne, world famous for its prehistoric caves, green hills, imposing castles, beautiful villages and delicacies. The Gorges de l'Aveyron with its wild valleys with rivers, picturesque villages, ancient castles and fresh regional products.

A perfect base from which to discover the environment.

About the location
Flaugnac is located in the southernmost tip of the department of the Lot. At 1,061 km from Utrecht, about 11 hours away. Easily accessible via the A20, 10 minutes from exit 58. By plane from Toulouse with KLM / Air France, Ryanair and Easyjet, among others.

What is there to do?
From your holiday home you can walk straight into the valley, where beautiful walking routes run. You can also play tennis, golf, horseback riding, swimming, cycling and fishing within 10 minutes. The bastide village of Castelnau Montratier (5 min) has all daily necessities. In addition, a local bakery delivers bread to Flaugnac 3 times a week. In summer there are often festivities in the main square in Castelnau, such as a weekly “marché gourmand” with regional dishes and music. There is also an excellent heated outdoor swimming pool and a lively market every week.
